pet guard mode uncloacks again...

Again and again over the months and years this glitch comes and goes.
Since DO messed around with the PET guard mode the pet uncloacks players again.

 

The pet on guard mode will continue to fire at anything that has you locked and is firing at you. so if an npc or player locks and fires at you and you try to run and cloak the pet will continue to fire. ANY attack will remove your cloak including your PET firing. This is not a glitch, it is a design feature and as such there is nothing to fix.

I personally get around this by Kami'ing before I cloak and EMP. I am sure that other players have their own methods of getting around this.

I leave it on Auto loot like a safety if you will when cloaked. You can always hot key R to attack.

 

it's known by now that the fact the pet uncloacks you is a glitch and that it's not supposed to do that.

 

The PET has always uncloaked me when attacking. Did I say "always"?

Now there are some instances that this will not happen. If your PET is firing at a player at a good distance from your ship, you will not uncloak. But as soon as the PET is closer to you then yes you are uncloaked as you are in attack position.

It is a glitch, support told me before they were "working on it" It isn't fair for it to decloak us when it shoots someone. If I MYSELF am not shooting, then I SHOULD NOT DECLOAK. it says if YOU attack, not if your pet attacks. I haven't seen this for some time so i figured it was fixed. DO better get on it, i don't see them giving me billions of credits for these ridiculous bids.

 

Hmm, now that you mention it, I may stand to be corrected. I do remember a ways back I was sitting in an enemy map and a Nostro ship locked my cloaked PET and started shooting the poor little thing. So I put it to guard mode and sat there watching "cloaked" as the Nostro lost the battle hehehe.
