Pirate bug

I was shooting barracudas and saboteurs in the pirate map 5-2 and as i was shooting i took the regular amount of damage and then suddenly i would take 50-80k damage.
This occurs several times when attacking 1 alien.

And i`m taking more damage than what is displayed, when i am taking 50k damage my shields are actually taking 100k and this is making it almost impossiable to attack aliens

 

I got this problem to sometimes... I always think it's a barracuda that explodes in my area but even when i'm solo in base, no one around, doing anni i sometimes get those hits..

Been happening for years and too insignificant for the necessary amount of time required to locate and fix the cause of this bug it seems. If you can get at it outside of the dmz when it respawns and shoot it before it self-destructs then you can stop the cycle of it respawning. Don't worry, another one will show up sooner or later

 

Years? This is the first time it has happend to me and it seems like its gone today anyway but thanks for all the help.

Thank you for assisting this player with their questions, as this issue may be new to some and an older issue for others.

We always recommend the following:

Clearing the Browser history
Clearing flash data
ensuring that the Browser is up to date
ensuring flash player is up to date.

As this is a lag experience that is caused for many, by to much graphics being loaded at one time.

One last thing, please try this in a different browser to see if your experience is different.

With all respect how can the respawning kamikazi barra be a "user system" related issue since when it occurs it is happening to all users in that area. We don't all have the same browser history, flash data and outdated flash nor use the same browser.

To pass this off as saying it's lag rather than admit it is a game glitch that simply isn't being rectified seems a bit short-sighted.

If it's chasing after you then just try to shoot it before it explodes or it will just keep coming back again and again (if you can see it of course - sometimes it's invisible, in which case flying around can cause it to "pop" into view.) If it's just sat in the base in 5-2 exploding over and over and refuses to move then I don't think there's much you can do.

 

if its glitched on the 52 base it will disappear at the normal server reset time so its best to find some place else to kill pirates

 

Just like what the administrator said, probably lag. When you're experiencing this problem, try to refresh the browser or do the ways recommended by the admin.
