on Friday, I started a thread inregards to the football bonus, knowing that it was Easter weekend and that both myself and the powers that be, would be busy doing family stuff over the weekend i did not expect and immediate resolution.
    http://www.bigpoint.com/darkorbit/b...urns-still-waiting-answer.100710/#post-840464

As can be seen in the thread, I did ask that it was not closed until the issue was resolved, and in response Poseidon Fury assured me that he would when the information became available reply to me on the same thread.

Yet today Noctunral Raider, less than 72 hours later has taken it upon themselves to close the thread as I hadnt responded. Aside from the fact that it being Easter weekend and I have real life family stuff to do. It is blatantly obvious that I was waiting for an update from Poseidon Fury as that is promised in the thread.

So now he cannot reply to me on the thread as it is closed.

I realise that the board admins wish to keep the forums tidy and easy to navigate, however in a situation where it is crystal clear that the OP is awaiting futher information from an admin, why are they being closed. Are the board mods actually reading the threads before closing? If they are then why are they closing them when it is clear that I was waiting for a reply.

Perhaps it is neccessary for guidance to be given to board mods on when not to close threads.

I am justufuably annoyed in having to write this thread, when all I was doing was politely waiting for information to be available and given to me, while understanding that due to Easter, it would take a few more days than normal.

    Hi VampireCat,

I am sorry for this, the thread shouldn't have been closed as you are waiting for a response from us on the issue. I have gone ahead and reopened the thread such that we can post an update when we receive one. Sometimes when we have several threads on the same issue we may close threads prematurely such that we aren't repeating ourselves across multiple threads but in this case the thread should not have been closed.

I have also moved the thread to 'Technical Event Issues' since i felt that the issue itself is more specific and localised than a general issue.

When we have an update for you we will indeed provide with that however thank you for the patience that you have shown regarding this issue, especially with it being a bank holiday weekend.

    Kind regards,

    ~Ddraig

  4. It would be helpful if threads are being closed because there are several threads on the same subject, that it be mentioned upon closing. That was not the case in this instance. This happens all the time, and I was shocked to see who it was doing it this time...o_O

  5. He always closes threads, really only thing he does in the forums is close threads lol.
