PvP Match Ups

  1. Um my server 80% of the players have at least 300mil, considering 90% of them botted, many spend money or once did. So uri is what we would prefer.

    I like the idea, I think a fee to enter wouldn't be mandatory but players could put in credits and uridium and if they win they get double back or just do it for fun, why does every idea suggested need to cost, if you prefer fighting someone weaker or stronger then you then stick to hunting regular maps and I doubt this would eliminate raids and group hunts and such, sometimes 1 vs 1's on regular maps also get interrupted for whatever reason as well.
     
  3. the whole idea of paying comes from reality. You have fights where 2 people toss in cash, winner takes all, makes it more fun, and gives more of a push to fight for.

    Your point is valid. However, there is no reason why credits shouldn't also be an option.
     
  5. Um. there is, of course we can do it with and without credits, but credits are worthless, especially this time of DO.

    Well, if you don't want credits, then you don't have to wager them. Each player would have to put up the same wager, weather it be credits, or uri. So if it's only uri you'd want, then only wager uri. And credits are a bit more valuable than you think, especially when it comes to bidding.

    Not really seeing why you're trying to argue, either. We both seem to agreeing on this.

    I see your point but is this game based off reality to begin with lol, I think it would be good for free then if the players wanted to they could put in credits or uridium, why does everything suggested nowadays's need to cost?
     
  8. This game needs logic though, and who the hell wants to fight for nothing? when you could have the chance to spice it up and win something?

    and to agony, I stated, it could be for credits or uri which ever is chosen, but no one would want to win say for example. 500k credits, it totally not worth the win has no meaning to it.

    I'm saying it shouldn't have to always cost something, as it is now you hunt for nothing unless you have a quest, it could be for fun or credits/uridium, if both players agree to an amount and either one of the currencies then the 1 vs 1 would commence, if not then it wouldn't so you wouldn't have to join if there wasn't a reward you didn't want.
     
  10. I don't care its for free, and we can choose to have a prize. kinda been my point this whole time, im just saying uri is worth more them credits.

    Anyway getting back on topic ;)
    Its a good idea +1 from me.
    Credits or Uridium, either would be fine especially with the additional items coming up in trade though Uridium would be better as it is more valuable.
    But by no means should it be a must for wagering anything at all.
    Also, what would you think about wagering items of another sort i.e. palladium? seprom?
     
  12. I think it's a very good idea. Place a wager or fight for pride simple. As for entry fee, keep it low to encourage novice players to have a chance to learn and ENJOY.

    There should be no ship kills awarded towards rank, no drone damage. This will stop rite away any ideas of pushing for ranks.

    This map could become a very good "learning" tool. As with every death comes a valuable lesson. I have dealt out many a lesson, all previously learned :rolleyes:

  13. A +1 from me, awesome idea.

    I also fully support what full throttle said - no kills awarded (to keep hunting the main pvp activity), no drone damage (to keep even those who can't afford repairs interested), and an OPTIONAL wager of either credits or uridium (no reason the player can't choose which and how much they want to wager!)

    Also agree with whoever it was that said an option for equal equips should be added.

    And lastly, my own ideas: No ammo usage. Everything unlimited. So there's no crying about who used better ammo, or who had what. I don't have a ton of anything to waste (x2 goes to pally ship, x3 to gates, x4/RSB to hunt), so not using up your ammo on what's basically a battle for reputation and honor would be nice.

    Rankings would be something I'd support as well. Keeping W/L records and such as well as a leaderboard would be a fun twist.

    Last of my ideas: Possible terrain, like the 5-x maps. provides something tactical to use instead of just circling with the 4 key held down.
