Question on bullying

I Have a question unfortunately i don't know where to direct it and I could use a quick
answer. oneline screen names are not copy-written items therefore anyone can have a,
variant of any given name, and that persone cannot be harrassed in any way to change it
because is is a variant of the original name and the name is not a copy-written to a sole user.
. My question is:
if a clan member has a close variant of a name to another person in another clan but not the
same and the other person who is upset about does not have it copy-writted , can the other
person have the clan members founder declare war on the clan for which the person who
has the name variant and threaten the clan that if he does not change his name they will
continue to war them until he does or leaves the clan. This means after every ten(10) days
they will continue to declare war until it is changed.

 

Yes they can declare war on him for using the same name, it has nothing to do with copyright the same way declaring war against someone in a space-themed browser game doesn't count as legal action ...

General rule is don't copy people's names, makes people looks like a bit of a idiot to start with.

yes that may be so but to continuously declare war would be considered in most states as bullying and basis for harrassment law suits, it's like in the real world you cannot make a person change his name by harrassing him or bullying unless the name is copywritten, and the
person owns the sole rights to that name.

Changing the name or not depends on your own decision but end of the day its a PVP game and clans do declare war on other clans having same same clan name or their members having same name is quite common, all you need to do is talk to the other person involving in this name issue and sort this out with mutual understanding.

thanks poseidonsfury, have tried to talk to the other clan but they will not talk about it unless it's on Teamspeak and we don't have
that capability. you can close
