    Hi all,

The final quarter of the year starts on Monday and with that preparations for the 10th anniversary and the Winter event are picking up speed.

Before that we are going to run the Halloween event and have been preparing a light-weight event for November (“Promethus Day”). As these events are basically re-runs of last year’s events, this leaves us with enough time to focus on the other priorities we have.

In the coming weeks we also want to make some slight changes to the UBA matchmaking as there has been a certain demand for us to look at this.

The biggest feature we are working on is of course the Cross-Server functionality – which will be the “main attraction” for the anniversary event.

We have learned during the first load test last weekend that it does not need fancy glitter but a solid PvP area that allows as many players as possible to battle each other. That’s why we are currently looking at implementing the basic functionality we talked about earlier this year (see).

After that, in 2017, we have the option to expand on this, to work on other features that are important to you - because despite what some people might perceive and judge the game and the team on: the actual reason for us not being as proactive as we wanted is not negligence or disregard of our players but simply a lack of time due to some changes within the team.
With this said, please let us remind you that we are sharing our thoughts on the game and the current situation every second week on Twitch (archived videos can be found on Youtube).

Thank you for your patience and continued support!

    Your DarkOrbit Team
