RANGE of all ammo in Darkorbit

  1. A rocket which cost 25x less than a slow rocket should not have this big range.
    I hope they fix it back on this range whitch PLD-8 have.. Its to OP if u ask me in this moment :)

    The range is messed up ever since DO came up with the new UI and reduced the range by 35% (now 25%), killing fast ships specially vengeances with the lightning design was almost impossible, they try to revamp that by coming up with a long range freeze rocket that not even the afterburners of a lightning vengeance or the travel mode of the citadel can stop and give it out like crazy to everyone. Just increase the range closer to what it used to be and you wouldn't have had to come up with another slow down rocket.

    I dont even care about that fact that we cant run away anymore, but I am annoyed that we cant drag a group of people around anymore. That was basically the easiest way to fight a group 3+ people on your own. Drag them on your speed and shoot em, with these stupid rockets you can no longer do that. Making it nearly impossible to take on a group on your own w.o exhausting your resources quickly (IE emps,cloaks and instas).
     
  6. The IC-3 Rockets are simply too powerful and completely change the dynamic of the game, in short, game designers/admins...you messed up. You used to be able to take on 3, 4, 5 ships at the same time, get 1 kill and escape, now that feet is unattainable. You just get frozen, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7....times in a row or however many ships you are up against by a free weapon found in a box(Then they have the nerve to sell them for ONLY 20 Uri yet charge 500 Uri for a slow down rocket). Ships literally WASTE their resources(ISH and EMP's are NOT cheap) trying to protect themselves from an inevitable outcome because of these dumb rockets. There was already an abundant amount of weapons for escape, EMP/Cloak, Slow down rocket, Slow down mines, ALL of which were available in the shop to any player. Not to mention the range on the IC-3 rocket is longer than any other weapon in the game.

    These IC-3 Rockets were only available for a short period of time for free from boxes and for sale in the shop, that's irrelevant. Potentially ships could have thousands if not tens of thousands or as many rockets as they could buy with Uri. These rockets aren't simply going to go away and disappear. They just need to be administratively removed from the system or their parameters need to be adjusted.

    How about you guys fix the lag instead of trying to shove more data down the same size pipe? There are multiple things that can be implemented to correct the game lag. I am not here to give free technical advice on Wide Area Networks or Local Area Networks for that matter. The players would surely appreciate a smooth running game instead of a dumb freeze rocket that just destroys the integrity of it. Who implements these changes anyway? Do you even run them on a test server with actual players and get feedback?? I mean that is a pretty basic step to perform before making a change in a real world environment. Did you not plan well enough in advance, so instead you rushed it?? Step forth and claim it game designers/admins. I don't write much on here, but this lag is an abomination, do some research, higher a consultant, you want my help, add me to the payroll as a consultant. I would be more than happy to lead a team to improve the game.

    Is this feedback really going to make a difference?? It'll take the game admins/designers 6 months to develop a change then another 6 months to implement it. I would expect more from game admins/designers of the most profitable game BigPoint owns. Put me on your staff BigPoint, I can get all of this straightened out. I have the pulse of the players on my side, while your current employees are blind, deaf and straight up dumb.

    Here's the solution to the IC-3 rocket...A ship can only be frozen only once every 30 seconds...BOOM...implement it. That leaves ample time for a ship to escape and it is fair to a player being attacked by multiple ships.

    And I support your idea to where ships are only freezable once every 30 seconds.
    As for the lag, BP has been experiencing DDoS attacks, and there isn't really anything they can do to prevent them. All they can do is wait for an attack, then block it. Lag from this is inevitable.
