Determined by calculating an account's "ranking points" using a formula that includes factors like honor, experience points (EXP), and ship kills, although the exact formula can change. These points are compared against other players to place you on a leaderboard, and the specific badges you can earn are based on these rankings, such as "General," "Colonel," or "Major".
    How rank is determined
    • Ranking points: Your rank is determined by your total rank points, which are calculated using a formula that includes several factors.
    • Key factors: The primary factors are honor and experience points (EXP). Other factors that have been used in the past or contribute to your score include:
      • Ship kills (both alien and player)
      • Missions completed
      • Account age (days since registration)
      • Your specific ship type
      • NPC shot points
    • Comparison with others: Your rank points are compared against other players in your company to determine your position on the leaderboard and the specific rank badge you have.
    • Rank decay/updates: Your rank can decrease if you don't actively play, as other players may pass you. Rankings are typically updated at a specific server reset time each day.
    • Eligibility: To be counted in certain rankings, you must be a certain level and have been in the game for a minimum amount of time (for example, more than 4 weeks and level 2 or above).
These are the positive and negative ways you can determine your ranking:

      Positive impact to rank:
      • Honour points /100
      • Player shot points x3
      • Your level x100
      • Days since registration x6
      • Your ship type (Venom for example) x1,000
      • NPC shot points /2
      • Missions completed x100
Negative ways to impact your rank:

thank you Blue for the detailed explanation.

in my case it's likely the other player aspect

i have dropped a rank in the past but never by the amount of rank pts that this drop has (600K). maybe 50k to 100k

    thanks again
