Rank points are a joke.

Won't we all. I work every day I can and it's not a hobby, I do it for the money. This game is one of my few hobby's. The only one I have deal with lagg to do. LOL

 

No matter what DO does with the rank system the noobs will still complain it is to hard to get high rank. Well duh, some people have been playing this game for many years and have spent a small fortune building their account. If you want a higher rank only way to achieve it is to put in the time.

 

How can you not do 2 or 3 gates in 2 hrs? Most gates can be done in 45 mins or less, with exception of gamma and chronos.

And as far as the ranking system, it is based on earning a rank, not having a rank given to you because you feel you need a higher rank to feel good about yourself in a game. To be honest the people that complain about rank the most are the ones that deserve them the least.

So, if you want a higher rank, do as many of these as you can, spend money, do gates, hunt enemies and kill every npc you see. The longer you do this the higher your rank will get.

 

Maybe because i'm using x1 ammo on lasers , plt 2026 on rockets and eco10's on the rocket launcher. I do seam to take a little longer on waves in gates like bks in beta. Anyway I'm still at it and having fun while I do. It kinda bug's ya when you look at your rank and it tells ya you have 120,000 to go to rank up. You go to work and get back home take a look and find out you now need 132,000 to rank up now. Thats just how this posting started. Need to vent. At this point in the game I've almost reach lvl 18, My rank is Chief Lieutenant. I got 84 achievements, completed 166 missions that does not count daily's they don't count them in the tally. I do them everyday. Most mission were done solo, I've only asked for help a few times. I also box for ammo. This took 1600 hr.
I don't even know if this good or real bad. It was fun and that's all that really matters in the end. Why else would we play a game. I will thank ya Cowboy for sneaking up on me so many times when I first started. I use some of those same tricks that I learned from being popped by you. LOL Anyway you all have fun.

 

In short more players in the company mean lower rank required as long as there are pilots from basic space pilot to general.Back when USA East(coast)1 was in its prime we had 3 basic generals in EIC lol that was alot of players then...If DO really wants happy players, we need more players ...So a fun game that catches the attention of many makes us long term players and newer players like you much happier.
