I have a question. I am currently a chief sergeant in DO. I have been that for over a year now and I am wondering why my ranking never increases? And how should I go about ranking up faster if there is no technical issue?
P.S. I currently have 439k honor <---- is this not enough for higher ranks or does this not influence it?

  2. Well , Honour Points are changing daily belongs to your stats.

If you being killed and killed a friend , your Honour Points will decrease.

I think that's why your HP would not increasing. Check your Log and search what mistake you did.

    Regards ...

To get the next rank you have to overtake the person with the lowest one above you. If you go to your backpage and then click ranking (below your name and clan etc) it will tell you what your rankpoints are and what rankpoints you need for your next rank.

Honour is a big contributor to rankpoints along with ship kills and so on, the breakdown of rankpoints is shown on your ranking page.

  4. Rank points are calculated with the help of a special formula, which can be found in the ranking section. Your points are compared with those of other players in your company, then you get a certain rank. Rank also depends on how many people play in your company. Look at the table below, it shows how many people can get this or that rank within your corporation:
1 General (Max. 1 person per company)
    2 Basic General (0.01%)
    3 Chief Colonel (0.10%)
    4 Colonel (0.50 %)
    5 Basic Colonel (1.00%)
    6 Chief Major (1.50%)
    7 Major (2.00%)
    8 Basic Major (2.50%)
    9 Chief Captain (3.00%)
    10 Captain (3.50%)
    11 Basic Captain (4.00%)
    12 Chief Lieutenant (4.50%)
    13 Lieutenant (5.00%)
    14 Basic Lieutenant (6.00%)
    15 Chief Sergeant (7.00%)
    16 Sergeant (8.00%)
    17 Basic Sergeant (9.00%)
    18 Chief Space Pilot (10.0%)
    19 Space Pilot (12.39%)
    20 Basic Space Pilot (20.00%)

E.g. Only 1% of the people playing in your corporation can get the Basic Colonel Rank. As you can see, the more people play in your company, the harder it is to get a higher rank.

no isnt it the more people that play in your company, the easier it is to get that rank as there's more of that rank going around.

It depends. If more players are of a higher rank, the rank points will skew towards a larger number (so it'll be harder to get a higher rank). If they aren't many players with high rp, but more players nonetheless, then it'll be easier.

The best way to get to the next rank is by gaining honour points and killing npcs. Undoubtedly galaxy gates will get you the most rank points in a whizz but to build a galaxy gate can take long. Also take part in events such as crazy cubikon/ icy metroids etc
they can easily get you 10,000 rp or so if a few hours
