Recent Changes & How I feel about them.

    Repair system (1): At first the repair system was changed to were every ship would repair at a percentage of the maximum HP a ship would have, causing ships with low HP to rep up from 1 to 100 percent in the same ammount of time, just like ships with much more HP. This update is sensible since it took a citadel (in the worst case with over a million HP) extremely long to get repaired when using the repair bot only. I'd have changed it to where ships with more HP would repair more, but I'd have never changed it to where it takes a phoenix as long to repair as a citadel.
    (short example of how I would have done it: Make the Repair robot 4, repair 4.000 HP + 0,4 % of the ships HP every second.)
    HOWEVER, the update wasn't terrible, but I'm not saying it was implemented in a very good way either. This idea also decreases the effect of mines (since pilots can rep up very quick) and leaves people who put pilot points on detonation on a bummer note...

    Repair system (2): The ability to repair while flying. I think this change was total rubbish, for one, it takes me longer to repair my shields then to repair my HP even when I'm boosted with a shield recharger. Two, The awful way the range was changed, since the shooting range was decreased by 25% it is pretty simple to escape from most people. The result is that when your opponent escapes and then decides to fight you again, you simply restart the fight from point 0 and both have full HP and shields again... and this can happen very often during the same battle... sorry, but how stupid is that? (I still wish the range would be increased...even another 5%-10% would make a huge difference *sigh*, it would cancel out the contra point I just posted) There is already a way to repair while flying around - Combo Pet repair and I congratulate the fact this item sucks a lot of fuel, because for me, it has made the difference of winning or losing the fight in the past.
    The fact there is already a way to repair while flying makes this update pretty stupid.

    I may be wrong, but I think these were the reasons for these 2 changes:
    - weakening the aegis since that ship was able to repair itself for free while moving and (partly) taking this advantage from this ship(since everyone can repair while flying now), in order to make less people fly the aegis, as there is way more people flying the aegis on a regular basis then people who fly spearheads or aegises.
    - Since it started taking new players with small ships longer to repair (with the first repair update), BP implemented the ability to repair while flying, so new players wouldn't get annoyed by waiting for the ship to repair with the need to just sit there.
    - To power up the citadel (as it repairs more HP per second then any other ship)
    - To power up the spearhead (as it can repair while flying away from other people after a short period of not being shot.)
    - To get new players less bored, as they could repair while flying. (lots of people don't want to play a game in which they have to sit around to repair when they just started playing it.)

    Auction System: First update, BP made trade become an auction.
    Downsides:
    -bids got WAY more expensive
    -Some (patient) people bid very often on the same item and increase the credits just a bit, every time they bid, until they become the highest bidder. In order to save themselfs more credits. CONSEQUENCE: some people spend way more time on the auction page, in order to get the bid. In order to stop that I think there should be another update on the auction page, with which everyone can see how much the highest bidder has bid... after all, thats how auctions normally work.

    Future update on the auction: BP is planning to introduce more uridium items in the auction and to introduce auctions that last a day and a week for certain items.
    I'm happy BP is not planning to put the newer uridium items in an auction that only lasts an hour.
    BUT I am worried that too many things, many of the best geared players got themselfs with uridium, will soon be put in an auction and be available with credits. It will cause the spending players to get angry and even though DO is focusing to make this game more atractive for newer/weaker players, I am worried that they are starting to forget about the players that have spent and still spend money on the game.
    So I am hoping that not too many things will be added in the auction, I would understand if Shared boosters, goli designs and the citadel, aegis and spearhead will be put in a daily/weekly auction, but I hope that will be it and nothing else will be added.
    Now a days nobody bids on extras anymore because everyone has them and you only need one of each (if at all), so I hope Drone formations for example won't be added to the auction as you only need one of each too and the way I see it...Not everyone should have everything, there NEEDS to be some inballance in the game.
    The way I see it, DO has been trying hard to help noobs get along easier in this game and you have suceeded, but if drone formations lf-4s drone designs and so on will be in the auction. DO is starting to help the mid class players too much(!!!) and if everything can be afforded with credits, why would you buy uridium??


    This is how I feel about it, sorry for writing so much, I felt the need to explain myself and if there are a few typos...well I tried to get this done quick :).

    So your pretty much mad with updates that would give the players you pick on more advantages? Firstly the second repair update is fine to be, and the first one was alright but I can agree that they could've done it better, range doesn't need to be increased to accommodate people that can't fight or can't get kills, if someone can move a different direction and get away from you then that's your fault, its not shooting fish in a barrel, its PvP, if someone has the skill to escape then you need to learn how to keep up or stay with them.
