Recording video proof, or a screenshot. Viable or not ?

    Hello, long time no see.

    Simple question for tech team and official support of BIGPOINT, DarkOrbit in this case.

    1. Is taking in consideration a video or screenshots of a player if I see him collecting bonus box or palladium, that I may consider is bot-user ?
    * in our language forum is not taking in consideration, as it can be edited or more reason can appear in case of a recorded video, or abusive

    2. Or we just need the automated detection scripts from BIGPOINT to do the magic ?
    * I am sure scripts are working perfectly nowadays since bot-user are mostly gone

    Please post the current position of this (how you proceed few months ago for example until now).

    Please, users, do not spam the thread. Waiting JUST for offical answer.

    Hello,

    Video and screenshot evidence is no longer accepted from support when they are concerning bot usage. Bots and any third-party script will be detected by the scripts run by support, and from there any users who were detected shall receive the appropriate punishment. The main reasons for this is;

    a) Support scripts provide a fair single playing field.
    b) Video evidence is not always conclusive and can be deemed unreliable.
    c) The volume of reports would be unmanageable unlike a script which can do all the work.

    This does not mean that support does not accept video evidence entirely, support will still except video evidence for other issues (e.g. showing an exploit, showing a bug/glitch etc.), and in the case of screenshots, support will often encourage screenshots when reporting issues from chat.

    I hope this clarifies the situation for you.
