Reform Darkorbit

    With every update, the uridium cost of just playing darkorbit rises. Some of these additions, such as upgrades, pilot bio, and gates have permanent rewards. These are fine in my opinion. They represent goals that players can aspire to, and many players will spend money or spend hours playing to gain these rewards. However, there are other updates (RSB, EMP, double boosters, hellstorm, pet fuel, tech center) that require constant upkeep uridium-wise. Moreover, unlike premium, these items affect gameplay significantly: In a battle between two equally matched players, the player using more of the above will win.

    For a non spending or occasional spending player, it costs much more to defend than to be popped. A single volley of ammo costs 300 uridium: a single battle is easily an hour's worth of cubing. Making repairs free is only a temporary solution to a fundamental problem. Though repairs are free, new players have no goals. When I first joined darkorbit, one of my goals was to be able to hold my own in enemy maps. Now, that goal is absurd: Not because it wasn't a viable goal, but because it costs so much to attack other players that it isn't worth it to do so. My suggestions to reform darkorbit:

    A. Discontinue the sale of RSB
    B. Change EMP to 1,000,000 credits, and refund all uridium for players who currently have EMPs
    C. Remove double boosters, or reduce the effect of the second booster, or put double boosters in auction for 1 day after MHH
    D. Make maps larger to compensate for decrease in damage output

    Hellstorms, pet fuel, and tech center items, though expensive, don't make as big an impact as RSB does. I believe that players who pay money for this game should have some advantage, but items such as RSB that virtually double damage output press that advantage too far. Though immediate profits for DO would probably decrease, in the long run, reducing the advantage of uridium spenders will expand the player base to what it once was.

  3. Did you look in your e-mail? There are bonusses for the "battle for influence": 100 PLT-2021 Rockets, 10 EMP-Burst and 10.000x ammo of type ucb-100.

    Why the emp-01 burst costs 500 Uridium? Because it exposes the camouflage and it also cost 500 uridium and why should the players spend more many for the camouflage instead that both sides should spend the same price?
