  1. Regarding this thread https://board-en.darkorbit.com//threads/scormageddon.78470/

I just dont understand why it's been closed it has nothing to do with me and i dont care, those who push kills should be punished, but nothing in that thread was Bashing/Flaming the mods, the game in anyway.

I dont get the motive behind the closure of the thread, as at the end of the day the players pay and play this game (I understand the mods too do) But in that thread they only put a few ideas into the thread and nothing more than that, The devs should read what the players say and take into consideration what they've said rather than shutting a thread down on them.

It's just goes to show that any suggestion put forward by the players or any answers just get thrown back in their faces and shows how little us players are to bigpoint.

Yes, i understand this will get closed or probably deleted but if bigpoint really cared about issues, a member of the dev team or support would come on here to see the issue, even so we'd probably have to wait 24/48 hours for a reply.

Amusingly I've been trying to have a similar conversation with support regarding pushing and was horrified to be informed that:

I tried to explain the inevitability that this may occur in the normal course of playing the game on a dead server and raise my concerns with that statement. I don't need to tell you how that conversation went.

Rather than stick to the diminished reward system they introduced they seem to want to punish players from destroying each other in a game where destroying each other is a massive part of it. If they wanted to there are ways of monitoring the game play in order to correctly identify pushers and punish them accordingly but that will take a lot of time/money/effort in programming and..... I can't even be bothered to finish my sentence.

On topic, I don't really see why that thread should have been closed either. It stayed on-topic, wasn't abusive and was even attempting to give ideas and ways to fix the issue. I guess they just don't want people having an open discussion about how once again all the players lose out, not only due to people who can't play without breaking the rules, but now even due to playing the game/event the way it's supposed to be played.

I mean it's quite easy for someone to rack up kills in a legit way as «GЯłМ♠ЯΣΛΡΣЯ» pointed out in that other thread. 30% ep & honor is a massive loss to take especially to be punished for simply playing the game as intended, ie. destroying as many other players as you can or is this not a pvp game after all?

  4. The thread was closed because the topic couldn't be advanced on the forums, everyone was putting fourth good idea's and points without flaming anyone or the game, the entire thing is just a big headache, remove a somewhat good event and punish people for playing the game and not even following the pushing system in place which pretty much solves all problems with the event.

    Hello,

I'm afraid that yes, this thread will be closed (sorry) like the other one.

This isn't because we, or DarkOrbit, or Bigpoint don't want to hear from you, but as was said, the thread could not be advanced as it was [within the forums]. The fact that the event is currently suspended from running (indefinitely does not have to be forever!) suggests that no, not everyone was playing it the way it was meant to be played. Yes, this a PvP game, and yes, it's a PvP event that depends on everyone popping one another, but that doesn't mean it cannot be improved to see how they might avoid these issues in the future.

Yes, there is the diminishing rewards system, and once upon a time there was once a system that dealt with pushing even before that. Pushing isn't new to Darkorbit (or gaming) unfortunately, and even a system monitoring something needs monitoring itself.

Now, as Hypnotik kindly asked; if you have questions about all of this, please, write support and ask. If you have ideas that might help remedy the Scoremageddon event, and/or pushing, then by all means please post it in Updates & Ideas, please send them to support. I'm sure that together we can let DO know the feelings of all of this, and that we might find a suitable resolution for all together.

Finally, if you would like to inquire about why a thread was closed/deleted, I'm afraid I have to ask you contact support and inquire it with them.
And as this thread is really meant to inquire as to why another was closed, and that is not something we are able to discuss here, I am going to close.

    Regards,
