Remove the 2 second delay from palladium collection

So the first time in months I have decided to go collect some palladium, compared to how 5-3 used to be it has become more civil and tolerant. Though I don't like the fact that when I pick up the palladium there is a 2 second delay before it goes into my cargo. Because of this I am losing major interest collecting palladium, I think the delay should be removed so that collecting them is instant just like bonus boxes.

 

I agree, so with the other ore.

 

Sounds good but, it means people would get pally really fast and open gates much faster then they used too.

 

They would save 2 seconds per piece so that would reduce time spent on collecting palladium but removing the 2 seconds delay wouldn't impact the game in a negative way, it's a very minuscule change which would improve collection of ore without disrupting any balance issues.

I don't mind people getting better faster because it means i can get better as well and as long as i'm a better fighter who cares lol

 

Just out of curiosity, is this something that happens all the time? I don't pick up ore often so tried it to see the delay and I didn't see any for me but I only picked up about 10 palladium to be fair. Just thinking it could be issues with internet?

 

To be honest there isn't much of a delay between flying to the next one and collecting but it has accounted for me missing a lot of palli and ruining my flow so to speak.
EDIT: I think there should be more palli or atleast as much as there used to be because I can remember there being a whole lot more palli but i guess that's the DO way introduce an awesome idea(Kami)and then null it out to a grind instead of a worthy purchase...sorry i'm ranting.

 

I mean i understand what you are saying, but I think the delay is needed because it can be traded for energy. For that reason, I think scientifically speaking pallidium is the heavier more richer ore, therefore taking a bit longer to take, also I think that the delay is created in order to allow a respawn for other spots. Just saying, and 2 seconds isnt going to kill you lol well maybe it will but still, i think the actual time is 1.7566 per collection. Remember, this produces chances for free energy. Speeding it up kinda makes it just regular ore.

 

It is a graphical glitch. Has to go thru the motions...just like jumping thru portals.

 

there is not less of it the respawn rate is down, because of server population. less players = slower respawn on bounes boxes and ore.

 

I'm aware of this, i've noticed it as I have played throughout the years of boxing.More people on the map=more BB.
I'm was just ranting as I said above seeing as the vast majority of players were botters before, pretty much all of them got banned from what I can tell.And as they went away so did the BBs.

 

It is true. There is significant difference between collecting promerium and terbium for example, promerium gets in ship immediately but with endurium/terbium it takes some time. I believe this is because they are more "valuable" so developers made it to take longer to pick it up. But I don't think it is 2 seconds? Maybe one second I think, if you move immediately away from palla when "ore is being collected" appears (or what ever it is called in english) you don't get it, if you wait .1 seconds you might get it and if you wait 2 seconds you will get it 100%
Connection has something to do with it but there is really a set time required to pick it up.

I remember I was one of the first ships who started to going to palla, in early days palladium used to take longer to pick up than now, it was way more than 2 seconds, something between 3-5 (not many people know this, change was made when 95% of population had no idea that palladium actually might be worth picking). Then they changed it and collecting became very profitable.

 

"Very profitable" lol yeah, at least it helps some I guess maybe If your pets' prots are all lvl'd I make about 500 an hour if my Pet doesn't get shot all to hell
I have a res col lvl 2 so for now things are kind of slow

 

500 an hour? Lol, takes me about 20 mins to collect that much
