Save Configs

i know everyone hates changing ships, delete config and re equip the other. should be able to save each hanger set up. so when you wanna change ships all you do is delete current config and swap hanger and hit the config you have saved and it puts all your things on so you dont have to take forever to swap back n forth!

 

Please don't think I'm trying to shoot down ur idea. I like ur idea I just don't think it will happen. Dark Orbit makes money off the players who don't hav enough patience to move eq bak and forth tween ships. For both our sakes I hope they do this though b/c it does get annoying moving eq bak and forth.

 

Very nice idea. I had the same cross my mind I don't know how many times. Saving configurations like a template is what everyone needs I think. When I switch some equipment from one ship to another, it will be REALLY useful if I don't have to move them all to the ship one by one.

Yup, anything like that. Maybe being able to save 4-5 templates of configurations, choose the one you want and hit EQUIP. Boom, all items are on ship

Still, we can talk here how much we want, it's important this to be send to the developers. Mods, any thoughts on this?

I think you don't get it because you don't switch ships, or if you do, then you have double equipment for both.

The scenario is: I have FE equipment let's say for Goliath. I have Goliath and Vengeance. Sometimes, let's say, I want to play the Vengeace with the equipment I have on the Goliath. I need to de-equip it, and all equip on Vengeance. When I am done, same process again but to the Goliath. If we have templates, we won't loose time for equipping back things, it will be just simple click and all set.

 

I agree on this +1...it is like a template No need to click and click to adjust just a 'save' config. Can have up to ten configs of various CPUs and such - like.

 

Yes, exactly. I am making my own templates.

For example: I am creating template with name: Goliath. There I can choose ships for which I want this template to apply. Choose Goliath, slots are open same as hangar equipping as it is now. Put the equipment I want there only ONCE and click SAVE. After that when I want to equip Goliath with this equipment, just select from a configurations list and that's it. All equipped.

(At least, this is how I imagine, not the Author of the idea)

Exactly this. It's an update that would vastly improve the player experience but DO won't be able to see past the marginal loss of income this would cause therefore will never happen. (who is to say they wouldn't actually make more money from players being satisfied by such a decent update as this and feeling it's worthwhile to get those last few lf4s or upgrade a few more items?)

 

Let's not be negative here Just tell your thoughts on this idea that ...KIDZ... has started.

 

This has been needed for a long time.

At least one free template/config should be offered.

If they wanted to be penny pinchers about it and get some profit, they could sell templates individually as a "hangar upgrade" or something like that. At least make it available in some way...the setup right now is just clunky and not very user friendly. It's probably designed to be that way to sell duplicates of UFE equipment, I get it, but it would definitely make the game more fun to play if equipping was more fluid.

 

It's not really negative, it's just the explanation as to why I don't feel BP will ever implement it. It's not the first time this idea was suggested, as has the idea above to charge for extra "config slots"

I wrote "exactly this" cos I agree. I would like to see this update but for the reasons given don't believe it will ever happen.

 

The idea about third configuration is something else that may change many things, and has nothing to do with this. We asked no ammo capacity, DO give that to us Be positive!

 

3rd config? hell no! people would run 2 speed and a battle so they can run like cry baby FH. on the good side, i could run a speed battle and suicide.. still no, 3 configs is over powered

 

Let the 3rd config now.. You are all going off topic.. Keep it on the equipment templates.

 

You are the one that stated talking about 3rd configs lol. When I wrote "config slot" I meant what had already been suggested as equipment template. Perhaps you misunderstood? I was saying that this idea has already been suggested along with the idea of charging uridium for unlocking templates to set up how you wish.

 

I am sorry, but I have never talked about third config. I am talking about equipment templates, and this thread is just for that, not for configs.
