[SC] 10 Year DarkOrbit Anniversary

Darkorbit officially launched on December 11th, 2006. This year will mark its 10th year in Action. Darkorbit don't screw this up. Birthday Gate, Birthday Rockets, I want the full sha-bam.

On their twitch stream, they were talking about how they wanted to do big stuff for their 10th anniversary. Big events or whatnot.

Hopefully they don't change their minds.

I would be happy with a birthday gate just to let the players know that darkorbit still celebrates there own birthday

They spoke of their plans to have a great 10th anniversary party for D O but they also mentioned they needed participation in the Events but then the Events they have been creating have been so lame no one wants to do them. More than likely it will be nothing more than we get every year (or it will be so glitched no one will enjoy it).

 

Well I think as long as whatever they decide to do stays in balance then things should be alright. Lower level players need some good excitement also and I don't mean they pop every time they leave port type of excitement either.

Maybe bring JPA back for your birthday? that's a nice gift for all the players of DO for supporting you through everything.

 

I would not expect much for the 10th birthday of DO, so far this year it as all been about hard selling and most of the player feedback as fallen upon deaf ears with one fail after another and little improvement to the game and game balance. The promise of helping new players is at best mediocre with Uri, EE, and jackpot Euros being removed from the X1 maps. The birthday event if it happens will be the same as we have had all year an excuse to push sales of over priced junk.

 

The event will be yuuge there will be boxes will have big pumpkins with faces loaded with great freebies.
And a new NPC that is also That is an huge orange mouth with small hands that self destructs at the slightest volley.

Also cubes in 2x that are gold and pay out the same ,but they are just for show and have the stats of mord.

 

That sounds more like a Halloween event not a Birthday Party. Usually it is a lame easy and hard gate a few special BB's and maybe some ICY's, combined with a bonus reward calendar that assigns items that do not match the pictured item.

But then during a Twitch Stream they were saying they were planning a Major Party this year but then that depended on our participation in the lame events leading up to it.
