[SC] 3D Drone formations Changed after Purchased??

When all the #D drone formations came out,..we all bought them because of the benifits these formations gave. Seems after server restart today,..the specs of these drone formations were reduced from what they were when we purchased them. Ring for example boost sheilds 180% and are now reduced to 120% after server restart and slows you down as well Drill increased damage 20% and sheild reduction of 20% and now that was changed as well.

We bought these for the specific reasons of original specs for the amount of Uri. Do we get compensated for these changes?

No. DO has already stated they will not give refunds, as they are not major changes, and were clearly OP. When you see something that OP and buy it you're basically accepting it's gonna get nerfed lol sooner or later.

I am quite mad that they did changed the drone formation Bonus after I worked so hard to get 150k Uridium, I feel Scammed and I would like a refund or choose another formation of same price -_-

 

You're not getting it back, simple fact. Think before you pay. I didn't because I knew they were gonna get dropkicked. And I saved out

 

I dont mind the shields drop or damage increase what is [removed] is the -5% speed that was added to ring now it almost appears useless to use it how i was since the day it was released.

 

It is the way of the world now I am afraid, Just last week I spent £75,000 on a new Porsche but when I went to pick it up they said that they had changed the deal so now I am the proud owner of a Lada.

I bought the ring formation and feel ripped off, The announcement said that they changed it because of players opinion, Well nobody asked my opinion and I am the fool who paid for it....NOT HAPPY!

 

I was going to buy the ring formation but now I will spend the money on a nice steak and chips, At least I will get what was described on the menu

Changing the formations was well done way too soon; almost as if they knew it before putting them on sale. As stated in other threads DO should have tested them more or hire a good gamer analyst, which would have pointed out that this needs to be fill in the blank. Releasing the drones than nerfing them the next week or so was a terrible marketing, as it made the trust factor of DO go down. What other new product we spend good money on will be changed as soon as enough people buy it.

 

What they should have done is wait for us to actually test them before they were released on live servers. I don't believe they planned this at all, but that they made a mistake and due to many players negative responses to ring being Op and rightfully so they modified it.

 

Games don't give refunds for balance changes. For example, if you buy a champion in LoL that then gets nerfed do you expect a refund on that purchase? No.
It is also completely in the air as to whether this is a nerf or a buff to ring, personally I think its just as powerful as it was before - put on a full damage config and have 1mil shield and do high damage with ring then change to heart > drill when shields are low enough. I have yet to hear of a person who is good at PvP think they should get a refund.


The other point that has already been touched upon was the testing phase. It was useless.
We were told that the formation were always going to be planned for testing after the initial upset of the very first stats were released, I guess it's pretty split between if people believe that the test server was planned all along or just a reaction to make players calm down a bit.
If they were indeed always planned for testing then I find it surprising that players had no access to UFE ships to test them with.

Regardless the test server is useless for testing new items. It is only good for event and feature testing. What is the point giving us ships that are nowhere near UFE on the test server and ask us to test out new items when we clearly can't. Even when players were asking for MHH ammo to be on test server they were getting useless sarcastic replies from whoever runs the DO facebook.

Anyone who bought the drone formations were just test dummies, that is what people should be annoyed at. They were never "tested" on the test server.

 

The players that had uridium pushed the limits. Everything is in numbers.

 

There is always going to be something we don't like. I don't like getting popped, but it is part of the game. You don't like it? Don't play.

Offering something something one way and delivering something else is called THEFT BY DECEIT. DO can hide behind their Terms of Use and Disclaimers all they want. It won't change the simple fact: WE GOT ROBBED.

 

This may be the most "annoyed" tone I have ever read from you Okapi. It's a shame they don't listen to players like you as much as they should.

To the OP: Drill was nerfed before release on servers (I thought), or it was at the very least nerfed BEFORE ring was, I know that for a fact.

PS : I only bought drill so far to eat up cubes, still waiting for the chips to fall on ALL the rest ( I don't think they are done tweaking yet).

Oh yeah... Disappointed.

I feel like a helpless wimp on the ground in front of a bully. "Take that, fooled you didn't I?".

I got scammed on the Ring. They lead us out and like the lemmings so many of us proved to be, we went running right over the edge.

I loved it when I got it. Now it just ticks me off every I see the m.f. thing.
