  1. I have a Venom with all LF3's and 7 LF4's, I also have several scatter and what ever the laser is. I have 9 Drones and my pet. I have all the best generators and shields on my ship. I'm still a long way from getting the 10th drone I don't have any special drone formation so I need to get one of those, but which one? I mainly kill aliens, I don't play this game to be competitive but just for fun to kill a couple of hours from time to time.

That said, I just got a Citadel Elite so would it be better to switch everything over to the citadel and where is best place to equip the LF4's (ship, Drone, Pet)?

    I also have...
6 Fusion Shield 3 and I don't know if they are better than the Bo2's I already have
8 Spectral Lancer 3's lasers and 4 Scatter laser 2's and I'm not sure if they are better than the LF3's or not.
    4 Havoc designs for drones

  2. If you mainly prefer killing aliens, you should stay with Venom and not with a Citadel since Venom has greater laser slots and a "Singularity" skill which is good for killing NPCs. Meanwhile you could use your Citadel with cargo bay expansion when sending resources from skylab since a Citadel has the greatest cargo of all ships and by that you could maximize the number of resources for you to either sell or for upgrading lasers, rockets, and/or generators.

As of now Bo2 is still better than Fusion shields as I think those were not mainly suited for killing aliens and are mainly for PVP (but not effective as all times). If you got Spectral Lancer 3 lasers, you better put them on your ship's laser slots only as when they are put on drones, there is a bug that their damage output would be lower. As for the Scatter lasers they are not effective to aliens as your shooting range will be lower and you would like to be out of the firing range of NPCs especially the uber/boss ones to minimize damage, so no for the scatter lasers as of now.

By counting your lasers you have and your Venom ship. I would recommend this:

    For Config 1 (Fight config)

    - 7* LF3s and 8* Spectral 3 lasers on your Venom's laser slots
    - You could either put all Bo2 shields, full speed generators or a mix of them depending on what you seem to prefer to fight
    - 7* LF4 and 11* LF3s on drones

For your Config 2 (Retreat config)

    - 7* LF4s and 8* Spectral 3 lasers on your Venom's laser slots
    - Full Speed generators
    - Full Bo2 on drones (9*2=18) if you got 18 Bo2s, if you don't have you could either put your remaining Fusion shields to fill it or put your LF4s on them and then put LF3s on the ship instead

*Note: Always put your LF4s on drones first before on your ship as they could have better damage output on them by leveling up your drones or by upgrading them. If you prefer to put all shields on drones then that's the time you can put all your LF4s on your ship.

Lastly you could put your Havocs on your drones though it won't have any effect since you need 5 more to fill in your 9 drones or rather 6 more when you got your 10th drone. So you could focus on making Zetas on double GG days for you to complete your Havocs. :)

  4. hmm just farming npcs my advice would be get an aegis you lose a little firepower but with the healing abilities you kill more in between reps.

  5. As a suggestion on the Ammo and Rocket Buy CPU's buy 2 for each ship and program each configuration to buy a Rocket or Laser ammo. I buy x2 laser and PLT-2026 Rockets depending on what config I am on. Also the Auto Boost CPU's are a waste as they will automatically apply your resources no matter what you would like and if not a Premium Buyer will find garbage rocks assigned instead of Promerium or Seprom if battling in the maps without the better resources available, also if trying to fill Cargo Bay to sell you may find you do not have anything with these equipped.

With the NEW HANGAR System you might decide to buy more of the CPU's/Extras from Auction so you have ships already equipped with these so you just have to transfer the Lasers, Generators, Pet and Drone equipment when changing ships, or as you continue to collect items could have more ships "Ready to Fly" by assigning the equipment as received. Many of the Extras can be won with a 10K bid depending on time of day (the slot 4 is the hardest as it is a credit generator 1,250,000 credits when sold out of Hangar). IF you have a ship (Citadel) "PARKED" in the 5-2 map for SkyLab Transfers can I suggest buying the PET Trader, it increases the credits earned by 30% and at level 3 gear only requires 30 seconds to cooldown. This also allows you to hide below the Pally field to logout and switch to the "Parked" ship to exchange the Pally for Spins logout again and back to your ship in 5-3 to continue to Pally.

  6. Are there any CPU's I should get and equip that I don't have?

  7. I would recommend getting the Turbo Mine CPU 2 for defensive laying of mines, along with Smart Bomb CPU. These would only be used when doing PvP but are nice when laying blockade defenses around Portals or CBS's. The T M is relatively cheap (10K credits) in the Auction as most people already have them and the S B is a little more expensive (at times) but I usually get them for 50K credits. Also as previously suggested have 2 Ammo and Rocket Buy CPU's on every ship (buying the 2 most used of each Laser and Rocket just by switching configs) I buy x2 and x3 Laser and PLT-2026 and Eco-10 rockets just because these are the most used in my arsenal, you might want to buy differently depending on your playing method but I like to kill my NPC's a little quicker than cheaper.

Otherwise you already have everything else available in Auction, of course there are things like the Immunizer CPU available in SHOP that you might want to get just because of the PLAGUE that is in the game again, but then there are some that prefer to get the damage boost with the speed loss by being INFECTED, but again this is a playing preference.

  8. ok, thanks. Now is there a way to upgrade the PET gear, I have the looter but its level 1 and it seems like back in the day when it came out I was told to get the level 1 and I would be able to upgrade it with experience etc. to get to level 2 and 3

the pet itself lvls as you use it at the rate of 1/8th xp of what you gain going to pet i think. The gear and protocols are not upgradable you may purchase higher lvl gear for your pet as your pet reaches a certain lvl

If you want you can put instead of Advanced cpu cpu for repair drones just in case if you forget to repair them.
This is for configuration you fly. In slow where you fight instead of home jump cpu put for repair drones.

So in fast you got for home map, in slow you got for every other map, thats good to have in fast when you try to run, this way you can save 1 slot.

Anti infection cpu I'm not big fun because right after you use it, enemy can infect you again and cpu is on cooldown.

Targeting CPU I don't really feel it work, when I use it I miss more for some reson, decided to not use it at all.

Autoupgrade cpu, I don't know, you can do same thing by hand, no reson to have it equiped.

    Configuration:
    1 for fly
full speed ship, 12-20 shield rest laser in drones
    2 for fight and shoot
in ship full shield, in drones full laser this is for shoot npc on map

Personally, in this 2nd when I'm doing gate have 4 shield rest speed because you mostly shoot in moth and lose all shield so no reson to don't have shield and be slow, its easier to fly with npc if you are faster.

  11. The PET Stuff has never been upgradeable and is why most people tell you to wait until the PET reaches Level 8 before buying too many items as you are throwing your Uridium away buying the level 1 and 2 Gears and Protocols. The only thing you do not want to wait to buy is the HP increases as these do not change without purchasing, but one thing to remember, if you are using the PET for Kamikaze, you don't need the increased HP anyway. The increased HP is only needed if using it in PvP battles and you don't want to give easy kills to the enemy. Every time the PET reaches another level you are able to buy another HP increase, if desired, but it does not automatically allow you to buy level 15 HP upgrade just because you have achieved this level, YOU MUST BUY all lower level HP upgrades before you can buy the level 15 HP upgrade. Your PET gains experience/Levels at a rate of 5% of the achieved Experience earned by the ship, but the PET must be active to gain this experience. Included in this is your Mission completion and NPC/PvP kills experience and any boosts from any boosters purchased or running.
