[SC] Bring back the bonus boxes

I remember when DO started to really crack down on botters, and they started giving us numbers on how many accounts were being banned. Each update seemed to ban 2-3k players, and the community was happy they were taking an initiative to clean things up. Then they nerfed the bonus boxes as a way to penalize any botters that were slipping through detection. But at this point in the game it doesn't hurt them any more. It hurts the player that is at the cusp of being UFE but needs more spins for drone designs, lf4s, uri for upgrades, uri for booty boxes, etc. DO needs to remove this feature as it only hurts the people that want to be dedicated to this game but are getting shafted every turn of the way. Instead focus on the people that are running palladium scripts (and no reducing the spawn rate of palladium will not be an acceptable change).

All these measures aren't only against botters, they want to decrease our earned Uri, so we should give them more money for banking. If you see the updates in recent years, you notice that they didn't update anything for the low Uri rewards (as a F2P). Even for the ToT gate you "must" have kamikaze, if you want to make profit. And did you remember the increase of the price increase for Uri?

Fortunately they are going to balance the game prices in 2017. Just wait and see.

 

I would just like to say the boxes was changed then put back about a year ago but seems like the more you boxes the less profit you make as for the part on more money from us its just them trying to make more but they are giving us more ... we now have helix hour, discounts on items, x2 gate rewards, special gate rewards, craft , ammo discounts, events on almost ever day (and back in the day we never had events like that so i fail to see the point where bigpoint changes boxes for players and they don't update uri for free players with all them i justet pointed out they don't need to (more bank for your buck, and more stuff to help free players )

 

I really enjoyed ToT but mostly for the ammo, I think i came away profiting like 90-120k uri + 240k ish x4 so im a happy man. We'll see about 2017...

 

I will admit I have spent on a helix, but thats about as much as I will do for a while and it was 25 dollars. It seemed like alot but it lasted me about a week as most went into upgrade hour and then a sale on pp. Gate rewards are good, except you have to have one pre built to the event. Why spend uri to build the gate when youre looking to make uri? If youre lucky and very dedicated you might be able to build an extra gate or two before the end of the weekend. Even then im looking to get my havocs and lf4, you can still get jipped bc they are chance items. So for none paying people that dont have extra uri to blow gate rewards are good but not ideal. Helix, upgrade hours, discount on items, etc. I love those. I appreciate the fact that DO is starting to realize that somethings might be unbalanced or harder to attain. Except for the fact that I've seen maybe two upgrade hour in my time playing (full time student so I can't be on this all the time...) But when I do see them i take advantage of them assuming I have the uri. Lastly events... I have very mixed feelings about these. There are some icys, crazy cubes, holiday events that are beneficial to the average player and you can make some good uri. Then there is spaceball, infiltration, invasion that are broken and useless. Lastly you have the ones that are geared mainly for the UFE mostly HITAC. In all my time playing I've never got the kill for the hitac. Maybe the minions here and there. But at the expense of alot of ammo and being popped by people that have gear 3x ahead of me.

My point is everything that they role out to "help us" is mostly biased to the UFE. That is bc they are the only ones willing to pay so DO is really helping themselves by "helping us".

i have not bought a bonus box doubler for the past 1 year.
i bought a weeks doubler and i knew something was wrong after that never bought it.

 

And how many hours did you need?

 

I was on for a good part of the event i popped quite a bit as some of the waves were to hard for me

 

And how long is a bit? 2 hours? What did you use (UCB, Kamikaze...)?

 

17-20 hour of doing the gate and i used kami whenever i could and x3

 

They said that they removed this box cooldown but acutally you are right.. I bought a doubler ~4 days ago.. i made around 10-12k/hour without PET on PvP maps in first 2 days but now im rally happy if i can get 8k/hour.. Bigpoint still didnt understand if they give us nearly nothing in game and you need to pay to reach the most little things we wont enjoy the game and will searching for a new game which is really f2p and not only in name f2p... Look at event boxes pumpkins 2% chance or less for uridium and if you get uri its max 56-60.. but rally BP a zeus drone is 1.500.000 uridum but only one green booty is Min 1000 if it has discount... i remember the old events before the botting wave.. christmas boxes with 600-700-850 uridum yeah thats what i call event.. but these boxes.. its better if you duplicate the number of bonus boxes on maps.. thats give us more then these event boxes. Sadly thats why more then 50% of players using bots.. BP isnt so fair with uridium rewards then the players wont be fair too.. the best way to stop botusers is give us back the FREE TO PLAY darkorbit...

 

I would love for old boxes to come back. Until they rebalanced them you can come up with a good strategy to maximize your efforts.
Personally I get 15 to 20k uri and 75 to a 100+ in spins Phr. All I got is BBdoubler/pet/ a few ppoints/Vengi,Tart ,Pusat. Just remember DO
have setup the game to discourage boxing for extended periods of time

For example, Box 2 hrs. Go Kill stuff 2 hrs. Take a break, go eat lunch. Come back.Go Kill stuff 2 hrs. Box 2 hrs. repeat.

 

Used to be fun having the PET collect Bonus Boxes while you did Quests but now with the Lag it is more of a pain then enjoyment to play the game for any length of time. More than 30 minutes and my map freezes all the time.

 

Well said bro, i 100% agree with you. It is very sad that every "Attempt" DO makes to stop botters and bug users only hurts us and not the ones doing such.

 

Who the heck plays X + an hour...figure that one out No breaks of an kind for a tad bit is Any account that runs minus 8 hours is a big FAT red flag to me

 

You need kami to do ToT? I didnt lol

 

Good for you bud as someone who buys premium when its discounted heavily and happened to have it I'd say using kami saved about 40-50k x3/x4.

I didn't use it in TOT, Why was it needed? I rarely ever use it . more fun shooting those ships.
