[SC] Can't use the Arctic Nostromo Ambassador from the frost design payment pack...

Do not spend £28(or whatever price is in your currency) on the frost designs pack in the shop customization section expecting to be able to use it without having the base ship for it... I was gullible enough to think since people who won it from a Hitac event were able to use it without having the base ship, that it would be the same for this frost pack aswell...

But welp guess not, don't know if you're supposed to be able to use it or not from buying that frost pack but if it's not a mistake and they don't change their mind about letting use it without needing the base ship... Then at moment the kind of mood I'm in I could careless if my account gets locked, I might just get my money back but guess I'll wait a few days to see what happens or if change my mind...

(though I guess I could bother support since winning it from hitac you were able to use it, so it isn't really that far fetched to think would be able to use it from buying that rip off frost pack.

and it didn't say otherwise that couln't use it, so could say BP could be at fault for not making it clear that from this pack you cant use it, unlike that could if won it from that Hitac event. though guess they might not give a crap about that being the greedy craps they are)

Cause bloody £28 is a rip off, I only bought it due to being gullible thinking would be able to use the frost nostromo amabasador. Even if could use it, it is still a rip off but still just wanted to be able to use the damn Nostromo Ambasador ship even though it is a rip off. But whats new, not like almost everything on this game is a rip off...

(good thing I don't even barely spend on this game anymore since I stopped stupid rank chasing, also don't even play anymore except from sometimes come on when good events on like sb/cc... which I'm sure I can live without and spend my time on other stuff instead, so better not think I don't mean it when I say I could care less that much if my account gets locked)

 

All of the existing designs requires base ship before you can use the ship design, so why you think that ambassador design is an exception?

Description of Frozen Mirage pack:

"Send an icy chill down your enemies’ spine with the Frozen Mirage Pack. This chillingly valuable pack contains all the artic designs for the Spectrum, Sentinel, Venom, V-Lightning, Pusat and N-Ambassador."

There was clearly mentioned that you will get all of the arctic designs and none of the regular ships. It was your fault that you didn't read the description more carefully before buying it

But don't worry, there have been rumors that some day we'll be able to craft ambassador nostromo ship with crafting system. It will take a while, but i hope it will happen eventually.

 

Seems like it has to be an error to me - as you pointed out people who won the arctic ambassador from the frost Hitac were able to use it without needing the default ambassador.
Can't imagine they would honestly deliberately put something up for payment which people had no opportunity of even using.

Worth going to support about it I think.

 

Well according to Kara in Support, this is a Design and as such, in order to use it, you have to have the Nostro Ambassador Ship/Design in order to use it. With that, I am out my money for a package I will never get to use any of because nobody in their right mind will get 25, OMG had to relook that number up, of there friends, have to stop and breath again and also count friends I actually have, to play this game and stick with it long enough to get the ship. I don't even have 25 real friends...

 

Support is only useful when fixing small things in the game, like broken chat, removing a chat ban or resetting gates.Other than that they are just there to answer questions. In the past ive tried to point out bugs and all they give me is the "Basic info of the game and how it works." And we all know a citadel shouldn`t outrun a lighting when it uses travel mode, far as support was concerned the ship was working as it should "To travel long distances faster" so ignore the personal input of support team and hit up the mod here in forums and discord as support team is apparently limited or doesn`t care.

No bashing intended just stating simple facts.(Hopefully a mod can get by with some info) And theres still a refund available within 30 days after purchase.

 

Spoke to someone and the issue has been reported to the DO team now. Fingers crossed, with it being a payment package, there's a response in the next couple of days.

I can, it is DO after all. They will try and sell any old crap just to get some easy ££s. Take cosmetics for example, what a waste of cash lol.
But they are still promoting them like they are the best thing in the game. People need to wake up and realize that cosmetics are useless and they are getting away with half arsing game content. As soon as we stop buying them they will have to start coming up with some better ideas to make money. Instead we get events filled with new cosmetics over and over again. (Easy money, "oh yeah just change the colour and sell it for a mint") DO, I think its time to stop flogging the same old donkey and do something interesting.

I have stopped playing since the halloween event, I have not used real money to buy anything for a while. I will log back in on the Christmas event and if that is full of cosmetics with poor game content I think I will be quitting for good. There are better games out there.

 

I am betting the Christmas event will be the same as the past couple of years. The main thing is if the Anniversary Gate will be good or not. All of the designs and ships were pretty much pushed this weekend and I am sure it shall happen again next month. They know we are addicted so I am just looking to see if they do us right on this one subject or not. While I am not holding my breath, it would be nice if they did not put out a "design" but rather a "ship" as most players don't have the "design/ship" and won't be getting it anytime soon.

 

Well, the longer people are blinded by the bright colours DO will continue to bring them out. If we want better game content we need to stop buying them. DO only keep what works, when I say works I'm not talking about the game lol. I mean what makes them money and cosmetic designs are making them money.

They are not worth paying real money for, they are not worth working your ass off to try and collect hard to find materials or to buy expensive extras or booty keys, they are not worth being a prize in the UBA, they are not worth spending uri and/or money to open X number of gates to give you a chance of getting nothing and finally they are certainly not worth a two week event. We are being sold short. Cosmectics should be sold for credits and credits only, or in some cases given away for free for completing missions etc.

This game is getting boring as hell but at least you all look shiney, thats all what matters. There is so much they could do to improve the game but all we get are cosmetics over and over. I remember a two week event being full of different things to do everyday, now we get 90% cosmetics and 10% activity. It is like they have given up trying to make the game good. Change the colours on a ship and 'hey presto' a two week event

 

Agreed, but I think that the players know that they are just getting a color scheme with the cosmetic designs. While they do look cool, I wish they automatically were set to represent the company you are in, as well as the ships. For instance, the tartarus comes in red, which really represents MMO. You can get designs that are the other company colors. The problem now is when you show up in a map, players still have to look at your name to see if you are friend or foe. All you did was change the color but it was all it took to create havok. For all I care, they can leave the designs they have. The gold ones will still make everyone stop and look but the lightning vengi has been doing that for years. Surgeon is only green, and being vru it really gets me when one pops me. Starting next year, I would be fine if they just worked out all the bugs. Take a year to fix everything and just rerun the same events they already have with nothing new. If they spent the year doing that, sure players would complain nothing new was coming out and the new parent company would question what they got into but by the end of the year, we should realistically have a bug free environment to utilize which should make everyone happy. You can't please everyone, and they still have to make money in order to operate but we need something we can play in. Next, they need to fix the question in this thread. They offer "designs" but one of them is for a "design made ship" that most players can't, or won't try to, get. The worst thing is if you had received it as a prize, the report is players could use it. Now you pay money for it and you can't even get it in the maps. I understand the rest of the designs but this one should not have been in the pack, and if sold separately, sold as a ship. The invite a friend system is broken. Nobody wants to loose 25 close real life friends over this game. There are too many reasons not to even breath the name of this game in the real world. I have talked to 5 people about playing this game. One tried and was done after 2 hours as he was just too hard headed. The other one is taking it easy trying to get it down but still not past level 8 after a month. I don't blame him for taking his time as he has voiced the "two feet from portal pop" to me several times. The other three never bothered creating accounts as there is no real information about the game on the login page to make people interested. All in all, I don't see them changing in time to meet your given deadline but they need to do something. Ok, back to my putting around. Chow.
