    5-6 years ago, spending almost a full day on this game, i was lucky if i could make between 5k -10k uri a day just farming bks. since i started, pet has been added , bios, boosters, ecos , sep , lf4s, havocs and drone designs and other ship designs .. all these additions now make it possible to grind around 50-60k uri ( or more depending on how quiet maps are ) a day just using basic x1 ammo . this game is meant to be progressive, and not to be completed in a few weeks or a month. if everyone registered today and was UFE in a month almost everyone would get bored and either move and start over on another server, or just quit and find another game which they want to be " progressive " and ongoing. ive been playing almost 7 yrs, and still working towards ufe, but am i bothered? nope. i actually like the grind and have something to work at, either to upgrades my last remaining few bo2s, or to just build another gate. i for 1, wouldnt like to complete everything way to quick.

    I'm not talking about months i'm still talking years, but just cut the time from years to a few years. So many new players can see the advantages of building their ships up and advancing. ( full bio, lf4s, designs and all are not available to the new player that is unless they spend 2-3k $ )Edit- P.S I still love this space game as it is and when moving up from one ship to another ( vengi-goli is quite rewarding)

    but my point being, why the rush to get big and strong ? i know we all want to be THAT guy doing the killing, and THAT guy winning, but what is the point all starting off as the new little guy, building up fast but not having any PvP experience and still dying as quick as we would as the small guy because we have no game experience as such, or know how to use tactics, or the ammo, or best to avoid getting killed as quick? the building up is the fun part for me. i like to see im progressing, and the time it takes , as much as a chore it can be sometimes is what actually keeps me in the game. if i built up a 100 times quicker and had nothing much left to do on the game other than hunt out what few ships remain in the maps, id have quit a long time ago. and to say people quit because of how long it takes to build up is just an excuse .. newbies have it easy already building up, they DO get equipment from beginner quests, maybe not enough to make them immediately FE but still a lot more stronger than what they had when i first started. no demil in maps or until i had done quests etc back then. as i said, its a progressive game. its not meant to be completed anytime soon .. and play the game using brains, u can get alot done without dying alot, and with still buying things for the ship. i made an acct not so long ago on another server just to chill for a few weeks doing something different again. i had pet in 4-5 days, was level 12 and had a huge amount of stuff on my ship. did i die much, no. did i quit the game because of hunters or lack of uri rewards, no. but each to their own i suppose. my vote goes for the .. leave it as it is and just have fun :).

    Thought i would chuck my two pence worth in here,I am a long time ufe player why not triple the uri for the money :1 1 mill uri used to last around 4-6 months (more like 1 weeks fighting now) :2 turkish and venezaler already get triple uri at the moment :3 it is paying customers D/O really want .As a player who has already travelled the ufe road it wouldnt bother me if new players got a better deal than i did years ago because more people is the paramount issue here you want to know the way forward ? Easy merge all servers gb1-gb2 ga1-ga2 usa1-usa2 etc etc and give triple uri for paying customers .I dont take my ship out much because its just to expensive basically having to shoot 1£ at anyone i want to kill surely spending £35 should last in ammo /boosters for longer than 1 week GIVE ALL SERVERS THE SAME DEAL AS TURKISH AND VENEZALEN enjoy instead of short changing us due to their economy not being as healthy as others. faster ufe dosnt hurt older players because you cant buy skill its an aquired thing .

  5. Hmmm years ago a huge % of the server was FE and that brought skilled battles. If you got caught in a 2on1 you were most likely popped also even being in endgame building wise it was fun as hell to protect the new players and raid enemy maps. It took a little while to build your ship up but that is what kept most players playing at that time because it was possible to grind to build your ship and and be part of the epic battles that were going on without having no life for years on end( better to have no life but be competitive :)). i agree it takes way too long to get to a competitive state as the game stands. DO messed up when they put such a huge gap between FE and UFE and to have to deal with that for years most people are not that patient. What most people see is DO forcing them to pull out there CC how many good players have we lost because of this.

    With that said if do sent an email out that told all the old players that left that they reworked the reward system to better reflect the current cost of the game we might see some of them epic battles we all miss. So many things ruined pvp biggest was Skylab im my opinion to farm Promerium for that extra edge not have an unlimited supply. I'm not even going to go into sepp but to be able to build your ship in a reasonable amount of time would offset this because its available to everyone. The cost is whats wrong with the game at this point hours of work to play a game of chance wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take so long to build up uri to get crap for your work.

    So basically it takes to long to ride the road to UFE that's very discouraging for any new player. wonder how many times a FE can get instant popped before they move on knowing they got to put up with it for years.

  6. Man you guys are telling it like it is. Too bad no one up there gives a rats azz. All they care about is the precious money.
    Once upon a time if you spent money or worked hard on the game you got what you paid for.Chance has to go. DO put your
    greed to the side for a moment and listen too the players. Its some good stuff in this thread USE IT.

    Im getting totaly fed up with this game aswell. Just bought 300 booty keys used them all on 2nites helix x3 lf4 event. And not one single lf4, its riculous. Its looking like you need to be spending silly amounts of money on this game to get anywhere. Think ill go play on my xbox. More fun and its free!!!

    The chance system needs to be gone. The ship it self should be an easy object to build because the real money making aspect in the game is Uri for Boosters, ammo, emps, dcr, and gates. By letting players make a ufe ship easier you will see an increase of users in almost all servers. Many peeps that quite would come back because they would be able to catch up to the other players and be competitive again. The ship is a small part in the revenue to DO and really does not break the bank in the long term. Many WW quite due to cheats and upgrades, remove the chance and many will return.

    800 to 1000 to build a ship over the course of 6 months is reasonable and appealing to many new players, 2000 to 4000 over the course of 1 to 3 year sometime longer is unacceptable for long-term growth in a video game. Which is why many players left, and many new player get to lvl 10 or 12 then quit. Make the ships earier to build and players will come.

    Another HELIX LF4 day? we only just had a/n LF3 day wth? we actually going to get LF4 this time, last 2 LF4 day have been pathetic!

    My account now has 5 lf-4 total. 2 from one helix. One on a normal day. Another on helix yesterday. Another today on zeus. I will get another shortly from elite quest. Hopefully another from my open kappa and Hades. These elite items are not hard to get. Apply luck and hard work and you'll go somewhere. Guess what. you shouldn't be able to get an lf-4 in 100 keys. That's less than a epsilon or kappa cost. Get real, stop complaining and put your time towards getting some instead of sitting around complaining.
     

  13. i have around 15 lf4s and is about 1 lf4 per 60 keys here even b4 helix wasnt that hard to get in boxes less then 100 keys per thats not the point though. with the game costing 10X to reach endgame in game farming should be adjusted. upgrades cost over a 100k uri each item to get to lvl 16 hell thats alot of farming there. i think it would be good money for DO if lf4s were easier to get 1500 uri a box thats about 12 BKs theres the problem not hitting hard takes a while to kill 12 now Xs that time by 60 to get 60 keys and if luck holds out alls good but the time involved sucks. npc rewards need a boost to compete with the cost of game now back in the day when thousands were playing on servers FE was tops and was reachable in a reasonable amount of time couple months not years there is the problem.

    So far I get 1 LF4 out of every 50ish keys. which I think is about right if the LF4 days were run 1/2 times a month. As long as these days were advertised in advanced. I would like to see new ways of getting havoc/hurc/lf4s ie quests or new NPC drop? I agree that the price of upgrading items its too much and that % chance of rewards from gates need to be increased (At the very least published so we can make informed judgments over which gates to work on)

    Just an idea I would like to add at this stage which will help all players, is to decrease the pallidum to energy exchange rate to say 10-1. As a special run once a month or so. Along side this bonus box/booty box rewards could also be increased for the duration of this event.

    What needs to happen to keep this game alive in the long term is to increased the endgame activity's for players who have a few LF4S and havocs ect. I this could be done by adding new maps/ npcs. Not just new gates to build. This could be achieved by placing new jump gates in the pirate maps. AS well as encouraging new players to keep playing. Currently new players just can compete with those UFES hunting in lowers, and therefore giving up after a few lvls.

    Thank you to the Dev team for the additions so far to the game and I know there are loads of updates still to come and currently in development. but more needs to be done. I would also like to add that the numbers botters on GB1 has significantly reduced making the game far more fair.

    This isn't meant to be a game you can finish everything for free in 3 months. Not to mention upgrades are really a perfectionist over the top thing. Do they help yes do you need them to hunt or fight decently NO. The only ones super necessary are drone upgrades and those are only 500k uri or 800k without rebate and prem. 500k uri is something I could if I worked at it, get in a week. Cubing, boxing, a gate here and there, maybe even crazy cubes if I'm lucky. It's taken people years to get where they are at now, even with money - why should you be the exception?

I'm not the exception im stupid enough to keep grinding its the hundreds of new players that quit everyday im talking about lets face it its not fun to most people to be fodder for years this is why DO should shorten that time. BTW upgrades is huge a must you run around with 400k shield and see what kind of challenge you give to a UFE


    Total cost to upgrade one Uridium item to maximum (with 100% efficiency) = 104,250 Uridium
    now Xs that by 50. 10 drones, 20 lasers, 20 shields and then add the pets equip you get my point

    and yes i put 100% to stay on topic but i feel upgrading % not to bad 80% works for me till about lvl 12 then 100% all the way

    Youre wrong, uprages are not having so big matter in fight. except drone uprages. its just about skill after that.

    Shields on ship (15) = 498,090
    Shields on drones (20) = 1,053,960

    not getting that with just drones this lets you use skill
