[SC] Chance is the worst thing in this game

I come here to complain about a horrible game mechanic called chance.

First of all i let you know it took me 4 weeks to get all of this which is A LOT of time, and i played around 4 hours a day!

550 booty keys.

Now lets look at the statistics and chances.
Chance to get lf4 in booty: 0,5%
On helix day its x3 so its: 1,5%

So statistically speaking i should have gotten= 550 (keys) * 0,015 (chance of getting lf4 1,5) = 8,25 LF4!
And what do i get? 3 LF4s!

This is a disgrace, i wasted a whole month of playing and this is what i get from the horrible game mechanics called ''chance''. Meanwhile one of my mates got 8 lf4s from 280 keys!!!

But hey!! There is a freaking solution to this problem. EXCHANGE KEYS FOR LF4S!
Why is this good idea????

Because it removes the worst and the most annoying and frustrating mechanic in this game called chance!

Who will benefit from this???

EVERYBODY, i dont think it needs explaining.

Players will no longer how to gamble, and now they can be SURE that they will get something.

This is some of my criticism for this game, and please consider making this game fun again.

Edit: No wonder so many people get banned for botting every ban wave, i am sure the horrible chance mechanic is one of the reasons they use bots.

 

where u get them stats form cos they are not real and the odd changed when you jump maps and if a npc drops a bootys

 

You should not be mad at all. i got 1 from 250 keys. (yes on a lf-4(lf-3)* day)

When it comes to getting the wanted items, the chance applies to all that is on. Some will get more than others using various amounts of keys. Its possible to get 5 with 100 keys and at the same time get none with 5k keys. As frustrating as that is, it is true. If players would stop buying loads of keys when they are on sale, there would not be so much frustration about them.

You could be like me and not buy any keys, and find you can laugh when others get in chat or here in forums bellyaching because they spent through 2k keys and got nothing on red and blue day. I have 163 keys and have probably gone through oh 1500 in the past but hey, I didn't buy any of them and just keep chugging along.

People complain that they have bought so much and can't get what they are after. Stop buying and just play. You will be happier for it.

 

Then why buy 550 keys and blow them all ? Lol Besides, it's a chance to get an LF4..even with Helix...which increases the chance. However that doesn't mean you're guaranteed to find LF4's.

 

Calm down first off. It can be frustrating but you aren't the worst off. I spent 686 keys, got 2 lf-4. No designs. Just a ton of ammo. On a random day on pet event a week ago or so I got a booty from a pet and it had an lf-4. Yeah it's up to chance so guess what if it annoys you don't deal with it. Count yourself lucky. Also the stats according to okapi are 0.001 chance not 0.015 If that were the case... I'd have much more lf-4. Also heck no to the exchange idea.

Well, it falls under gambling because it involves money and chance...

The way i see it, if you are determined you will get all of everything chance dictates, whatever that may be. BP should just let everyone have what they work for but, they would not make as much money, if they removed the chance element the pressure would then be on them to make the game more interesting when everyone becomes uber, and they don't want that - so they rely on people quitting, taking a break from the game or spending crap loads of money.

This is a business at the end of the day, but there is no discrimination between children and adults and there cannot be a comprimise. I already raised a thread on the laziness from BP, the very fact that cubes are the same now (not aesthetically of course) as they were back in the old days leaves a lot to be desired and business wise is grabbing as much as it can with little investment.

Disagree if you may, however when you think of upgrades/updates you will notice most of them have a financial motive and leave the classic idea of dark orbit behind, a fundamental mistake. I don't hate BP for operating like a business, i dislike the lack of investment.

Here's an idea - because i cant be bothered someone should knock up a chart/graph showing upgrades/updates and game development in their respective fields, i guarantee we will see a clear rise in purchasable upgrades (understandable as this is a business) but will leave the other categories WAYYYYY behind.

There's no balance, just taking money and relying on what worked in the past. (3D and pirate maps were a waste of time btw) As ships become more powerful the game becomes less dynamic - fact.

I personally have spent approximately 500 keys on either helix or zeus days and I have only ever got 1 lf4....I do agree it's quite frustrating(especially when I see others brag they've got 10 out of 140) but that aint stoppin me from playing...besides chance has been around for many years now and I dont think it's ever going to be removed, and most certainly not because of forum complaints - so just go on you'll let it go eventually

the answer is turnover. Regular players do not matter, which is a point i referrenced in the above post, which relates to players quitting, taking a break or spending money, lots of it.

I had rebate, doubler and premium and i havent had 1 email asking why ive stopped or offering me anything to come back. BP's undoing will be bots, because they treat their customers like crap and base their margins on turnover, not regular custom. Botters are one of 2 people, noobs who never played enough or vets that have had enough - thats it.

The players in between are the good guys, they are the ones that need looking after but aren't, so they get fed up and repeat the life cycle of either botting or quitting - hence the main income for BP being regular turnover - not to mention the players that are fed up and sell their accounts but thats a whole other story full of denial.

Hope this answers your question, don't give these people your cash you will lose out big time - i get better customer service at my local cornershop.

lol why do people keep making up statistics lol they have no real proof to back them up I spent 74 keys on lf4 day and got 2 lf4 a bunch of lf3 and shield gens so ill say it again its random. u can spend 1mil keys and get like 20.

ps.Its this way bc the amount of lf4 u need is not alot if u think about it its not like you need 100 some need 36 some need 20 not everyone is looking for max amount of lf4 I need 18 more excluding my pet dont use him for battle and im done yet im happy with the dmg I already can do

 

This goes against every rule book. You earn it you get it, but DO makes you do it again and again until earned.
