[SC] Cosmetic variants for skill designs

So I got the Lightning design a while back from a very lucky Booty Box, and it got me thinking. What if we had cosmetic variants for skill designs? Now don't get me wrong, I think it looks awesome. But yellow isn't exactly my color, y'know? If I had the option to buy something like a red version of this ship, I'd grab it without hesitation. Maybe a blue EIC themed Lightning as well? The possibilities are endless.

Clarity isn't much of an issue here, although I can understand why some players wouldn't like the idea of having recolors. In my opinion, the Lightning Vengeance is easily discernible from it's standard model. And all other skill designs in the game change your ship's appearance entirely, so adding a few palette swaps couldn't hurt. I'll admit I'm no game designer, but let's be honest here. The amount of effort it'll take to make a few basic variants here and there are well worth the potential profits. Maybe we can even throw them in Booty Boxes as well to encourage players to buy more keys.

I'm not saying our ships should be rainbow-colored. But when it comes to PvP, any skilled player will easily recognize who and what they're up against. Therefore by giving our players more options to look cool, it's sure to make dedicated pilots happy.

And we already have those super nasty-lookin' iced skill designs, but sadly they were only hitac event's capsule reward :/

I dont want more these cosmetic skill designs, but if given chance I would buy those ice variants as they look super cool in 2d.

 

I would accept a skin that could be used with ALL Skill designs. This meaning you are changing the color of the design not the looks of it.
