[SC] DARKORBIT - SERVER MERGE. One GB server please.

Hello all.

This is a problem that we have had for far too long, on many servers, not just Great Britain. Something needs to happen, the game is no longer fun, it is boring. There is no one online to fight, the game has many issues, bugs and glitches that need fixing. The community of darkorbit spends good money (FOR A QUALITY SERVICE!) (SO, SUPPLY A QUALITY SERVICE) Why, for over a YEAR, has Jackpot Battle been gone? Why are several servers unpopulated? There may not be many players, i understand. BUT, this can be fixed. Listen to the community, they all have the same answer, they want a GB1 + GB2 server merge, across both servers.



The game is laggy, i am under the impression that the British (and Scandinavian) servers are very much NEGLECTED - WHY?


When are we going to see improvements, and not be given the same answer over and over "We are resolving many issues"

Yes man we need server merge but we are not going to get it coz then will put some new thing this is only cosmetic cos then get money from it

 

why are the same post popping up about server merge it may happen it may not its not just as simple as flipping a switch they are trying to find a way to do this or something alone the same lines. If you watched the twitch streams they would tell you what they are doing

The dev team is working on something in regards to server populations. Whether it's going to be a server merge, some cross server maps, or whatever else they might have in mind, is a work in progress. Yes there is content and events still rolling out, but it's still in the works and has been one the top things all year.

Additionally not everyone wants a server merge, this has been discussed time and time again in the forums here and there are those who are interested in other solutions just as you are partial to the server merge.

Jackpot has been gone because people were cheating and there's not a whole lot of point in paying a jackpot win to someone who cheated to get it. DO ran a survey through the community awhile back and JPA wasn't voiced as a high priority by the community, so it's been handled as such. Things like server population issues out ranked the return of JPA in importance from those of us playing the game.
They have said JPA will return, but it's not at the top of the list, and it's going to see some tune ups to try preventing cheaters from ruining the wins.

These do not mean that the GB or Scandinavian servers are being ignored or otherwise neglected. Many servers voice that they are facing their own issues, some the same, some different and it isn't limited to just the English language community.

Cosmetics and vanity items were something the community wanted, and yes, it makes DO money - that's what keeps the game running so we can ask for things like solutions to lower server populations or the return of the jackpot battle.

These things take time, some take longer than others and the potential server merge (or whatever they end up doing) is going to take time. Some other things have been in the works for awhile, or have different people/teams working on them so they will roll out in the meantime. Major issues that crop up along the way will take away from other things I'm sure (like having to refocus to get issues solved following Assembly/Ship customization updates back in May before anything else), but they still have these things in their sights and in the works.

And when the time comes that they are ready to really give more details on what is going to happen with them addressing the server populations, or JPA, I am sure they will be letting us know

I am going to close this though, as I mentioned, these subjects have come up again and again & a new thread to bring it up again isn't really going to make it happen any faster just now. It's a work in progress, and right now there isn't much new to say about just yet. Although as PЯØŦØϽØL mentioned, they have talked these up in some of the twitch streams so may be that past ones, or future ones, may have more on the subject - although again likely when they're ready to do so.
