[SC] Darned Booty Chests from NPC's

WHY do we get assigned "COLLECTION" quests requiring an absurd amount of minerals/kills and after killing a HUGE quantity NPC we get a darned booty box?

It is not bad enough I wasted the ammo trying to collect the cargo but now I have to spend URIDIUM to collect anything for the kill. NEWBS like me need the cargo from these kills not another expense to collect the rewards.

IF every other NPC (not Pirate) is going to drop Booty Chests then some of the kills need to drop BK-100's also. I find it a waste of time to kill anything on ULTRA Booty Chest days as I am getting 3 times more Booty Chests than normal and I am wasting the ammo (that I need the credits for) to just get another CHEST I can/do not (don't want to) open. I have read that the quests (forum still shows old quests) used to give more Uridium than they do now. As such I am not getting the Uridium I need to strengthen my ship, and therefore, don't have the extra to use on Keys and don't want to BUY special keys to get GARBAGE rewards (my friends have already informed me what they got for buying them). I get enough ammo, that I am not using from the G G Materializer and Bonus Boxes, and don't feel I should have to BUY ammo I don't use just to say I got a reward for picking up the cargo dropped from a NPC kill.

Please reduce the number of NPC dropped Booty Chests or make them a dual purpose box giving normal cargo and ammo, if person sits long enough to use a key, this is what they were originally supposed to do (according to FAQ when they first came out) but never did.

You want to make changes to keep the NEW players this is a change that needs to be implemented for the NEWBS.

You are unhappy that there are not enough Booty Chests. I can think of a lot of things I could do with the Uridium other than buying BK-100's to get ammo. The odds of getting the really good stuff are so slim I would rather build the gates that generate the LF-4's and Drone designs than to waste my time collecting Booty Chests. My friends have bought the Special Keys on several occasions for the LF-4 and Zeus days and got nothing for them, I do not consider the ammo I get from gate spins as a benefit. And if they followed the story line the Booty Chests should be dropped in the Pirate maps more than in the lower maps anyway. My friends don't remember the Pirates ever making it to the lower maps and therefore there cargo boxes should not be dropped by those NPC's anyway. But again to kill 4 Kristallon and have every one of them drop Booty Chests instead of cargo is major crap, especially when you are doing a quest needing the cargo boxes.

As the ORIGINAL FAQ stated we had the option of collecting the Booty Chest (with a key) and getting the cargo, but we would always be able to collect the cargo. This never worked so they deleted the cargo and thus have pissed more people off because we need the cargo. Not saying get rid of the Booty Chest dropping NPC's but add the Cargo Box to them, so we can still complete the quest we killed the NPC for.

The only problem is if you did not have any keys and you did not change the SETTINGS it would BUY a key before starting the timer, but then it would not actually use it if you moved before the timer hit 0. So the player would definitely want to make sure the AUTO BUY option was turned off if trying to save Uridium.

I agree with this sentiment and seem to have said something similar by having Booty Keys dropped by NPC kills so we could open them FREE.

And not to mention the keys you had would not open the Booty Chests anyway because the keys you have are not Red or Blue, unless you bought them and at that point you are not saving those as these chests are limited time about once a month. So again if we can not get our CARGO give us a key for the kill that is dropping the Booty Chest. We get Boosters and Modules from some kills so why not Booty Keys?

You do realize the TRIPLE LF-4 is still less than 1% chance to get one out of a Booty Chest. And on Zeus day my friends got 2 time more Apis drone parts than usual and never saw a Zeus part using over 200 keys on these days. Like I have said it is smarter to use the Uridium for building the Galaxy Gates to collect the LF-4 and Drone designs and BUY the Zeus and Apis from the Uridium collected for completing the gates.

Sorry just DO/BP collecting their dues again. Buy those Red and Blue keys. They are going broke cuz they chased too many Wallets away from the game. LOL


DAMN 500 Promerium to collect and the only thing I can kill to collect it is a Mordon and it only drops 1 peice at a time. This really sucks. I kill anything larger and it drops Booty Chests. Bad enough it took me 3 days to get the Duranium and Prometid but now I have to spend 2 days to get the rest of the quest done. Give us a break D O.

um no lol if they do that then botty boxes will be less seen making many very unhappy.

 

It is pretty annoying. I was shooting big npcs to get large cargos, they were taking a few minutes to destroy and to get a booty box I couldn't open was rather frustrating.
Best solution would be if you could click the booty box and still pick up the regular cargo, since theres a 5 second time before you'd pick up the pirate box you wouldn't accidentaly open that if you were saving keys.

 

Personally i think when NPC's drop bootys they should be free to open, enough bootys on maps already - mostly full of crap anyways.

 

This was super frustrating today. Bad enough we have to gather so much ore, not to mention each one counting only in a set order but to get those stupid boxes. I am sitting on over a 100 keys, and refuse to use them just because the boxes are being crammed down our throats. Give me my cargo...

 

Yh i got over 200 and not even tempted, just lf4 and zues days for me.
