[SC] Event Gate Broken (in the OP sense of the word)

I'd just like to know who in the right mind at DarkOrbit expects anyone less than UFE to be able to complete the Halloween gate? I've barely made it past wave 4, and it seems it's going to stay that way unless I drop £35 and buy a ton of RSB.

What else are us non-UFEs supposed to do? This gate is obviously the highlight of the event; 3 out of the 4 (current) quests are all centred around it.

From what I've seen kamikaze is a must in this gate . Probably as an fe with 5k dmg it would take 20hours as the cooldown .
Has somebody finished it to tell us the waves aproximately ?
Edit: Now i understand the strategy . A normal player obtain like 3 design/day .. so at the end he wil have like 30, but it would be like 8 skull , 12 reaper .. so at the end of the event you must buy some to have a set of 10 ... I still don't think that people who want to advance , will buy customizations ..

 

Okapi32 is currently the furthest that I know of. Not completed yet.

I have to say that I agree with you. I am low player, with 15 LF-3. I have made on the second part with Saimon, UberSaimon, UberMordon. But those UberMordons, it was really hard for me to do it. Have to constantly back off to repair, cause I have low shields and low damage. I am not sure if I will ever go past this second part of the gate. It takes a lot of time to me, and kinda not worth it at the moment.. And I liked the gate a lot, really. Seems a lot of fun to be missed though.

 

Update: There are 72 waves total. I'll let Okapi32 announce anything cool seeing as he likes that kinda stuff.

 

This problem is being looked over and will hopefully be resolved very soon. You got 2 weeks to do it.

 

It restarts every 20hours .. so you have 20hours to do it

 

Managed to get it done in just over 2 hours with a couple of breaks and finished about an hour ago, personally I thought it was pretty fun as far as GGs go, with the exception of wave 70 (close to 2 million Uber Sibs, at least .. or more like 25~). For anyone wondering what I got, it was 5 Demons, 1 Skull, 1 Bat, 1 Reaper.

Made over 85k uridium from the NPC too, but it burns through a lot of ammo. However the ammo to uridium ratio is worth it for UFE ship, so long as you put the uri back into alpha, beta, gamma to get part of the ammo used back.

WOW... did you post a video on youtube about the gate? and what server is ur main on?

 

Wrong. The 20hr cooldown starts only when you complete it. The longer you take to complete it, the longer it'll be before you can start it again.
