  1. Ok here is my beef, There are many players now that are clan less. So because there are many clans for instance mmo clan that allows vru and eic members. So if you have a mmo clan and you build on an mmo map say a vru clan will come to attack but when you attack that clan they return fire and thats when the clan less mmo start to attack because now that the vru attacked first the mmo will not get neg. honor. So say you kill the vru and the mmo is still attacking if you attack back and kill them you receive - honor . And after they popped your base because your tired of receiving neg. honor they rejoin their clan and that's the end so even if your at war with that vru clan the mmo just leaves the clan to cause instability to the game. I say it should not matter what even if you are at war with the vru clan in the discussion if their mmo members attack mmo they should get a - honor for that. Understand though if you are mmo clan and send war to another mmo clan then sure things are good cause even if they bring their other eic or vru members nobody will receive neg. honor . Thoughts :D

  2. So .†ι¢є_gяιмσιяє†. you are saying that MMCs are good/OK but you dont like this particular aspect of the lack of honour there is amongst so many players these days which is allowed by the lax rules and lack of adherence to the main and original principle that '3 Companies are at war over resources'... If it werent for MCCs then these players would be drummed out of the company by the loyal members...

There is little or no Company-loyalty left in this game and MCCs and rules that are supporting them are anti the 3 factions that we loved so well and brought this game such a reputation 'back in the day'.
I agree with you that Company should not be allowed to be involved in own company attacks, and before someone says 'what about mislocks?' then I say they will soon learn to lock better if they become an outlaw for shooting their own!!!

I was in a battle recently and one mmo and one vru attacked me i',m vru i popped the mmo and i started on him (vru)and he made it to the port and jumped.
I followed of course and started on him. and up on my screen comes the following message such as You will receive -honor for killing this ***7% so i stopped of course.

My idea that would help stop this madness if a ship attacks the same co. then he is forever a red dot in that co. map or at least the rest of the day or somewhere in between.

Does anyone see benefits in having mixed company clans?? I'm struggling to see any , I would just not allow them.

I can see your point about your same company members helping the enemy. One solution might be to receive -ve honour for assisting the enemy to kill your own company.

  5. Company loyalty is the one item that has gone by the way side and since the server populations are so low D O will do nothing to change this dynamic, they used to step in and break these up but now are afraid of the loss of "paying" players instead of keeping the populations growing with the "free" players that have become the fodder for these players. Mis-locks happen and are usually caught before the person dies and causes little more than a few ruffled feathers, they usually happen when in close quarter battles and often happen without a person knowing it did, a person flying over a NPC/Enemy at the same instant it is clicked to start a battle is the other reason for a mis-lock, but because of glitches is the reason a lot of people will not assist in killing anything anymore as they do not want to be accused of stealing the target/kill (I still see red lock sometimes when I am just checking the health of a target).

Attacking a same company player should not make them a red dot, killing them or assisting in killing them should ans is where the OUTLAW system comes into play. There needs to be a change in the PvP portion of the game where if you have active (attacking) lock on friendly ship when it goes pop you get the penalty for killing a friendly ship. This would deter the glamour of joining a MCC to help them kill same company players, it would also bring back some company loyalty as the true OUTLAW's would be seen easier. Individual players need to be able to be marked as enemies of a company sooner than the OUTLAW system does it also. We have several players who do not like to be in a clan, as they are too weak, but yet like to instigate fights thus causing too much loss of honor when people are dealing with them, I myself do not like WAR's as I try to PvE and am not quick on the draw and end up loosing half my health before I can get the lock to defend myself so I choose to be clanless or have my own clan I belong to.

Back in the day the MCC were for PvE'ing in the Uber maps or doing the quests in enemy territory, they were for friends and when it came to Hunting Enemy ships they chose to attack enemies of the group not same company players. Today since the populations are so low they have decided the loyalty to company is no longer anything to follow and since they need the ship kills will kill anything that moves.

Company spies were real big back in the day, which is the same thing as we have now except they did not help to kill the player they just targeted them for the enemies to attack, this made the game hard to play but we were able to figure out who they were and with the populations of protectors were able to pop them out of the company, negative honor spread out over 100 people was easy to swallow compared to now where we might get 10.

Understand I was not defending the CURRENT MCC's I was just pointing out how they were of use back in the day. You are correct there were a few before the UFE that were of the same mind set as we have today and D O did make it difficult for those clans to stay together, some were even banned from the game as a clan, but this method of dealing with the issue has been stated as being "adverse to the game" and D O has chosen to take the loss of NEW players over dealing with a direction of game play that is adverse to what the game was originally advertised as

Join the intergalactic struggle for control of the galaxy

which has equated to fight everyone you see for your personal control of the game. Many people have stated the goal of D O as being Pay 2 Win and as this is the current structure of the game does seem to be the direction D O is trying to take this game, which is why I am so surprised they are so against doing a download for the Back Page entry to the server which would prevent most of the DDoS attacks and make the game more secure from botters and hackers (or at least in theory I would think it would).

  6. I agree with most of what you have said HelpMeHelpYou but I have to say that outfit has been around for a long time to allow 'friends' to PvE together and that MCCs dont help as without outfit redlock gets the reward..
MCCs have always made some defense or other for their existence and their abuse of the basic 3 companies and any form of Company loyalty... some say they want to play with their friends, some say it is a language issue, some say it is for the low numbers in the maps (although MCCs preceded the loss of players, six years to my knowledge, and in my own view have helped to chase the noobs away with their over-powered UFE MCC clans and their basic nature of lacking in Company loyalty and shooting any rank just to have a pretty star next to their name which is achieved via the totally broken honour system in this game!!)
Remember that it is these same MCCs and similar types of Clan that send war to all their own company and enemy companies so they can see red dots which is hardly the work of people who respect others and show absolutely no regard to anything but the selfish idea of me, me me!

There is an option where a player who wants to play with his mates etc can move to another Company and it involves the loss of in-game Honour quite appropriately as they are 'Turncoats' according to the principle of the game as it stands..

    EDIT

The game is currently advertised in this fashion, as you say, but that is not what it was when many of us longtime players took our Allegiance to one of the 3 available Companies to fight and etc etc..... and yes I know that Pennies have won out over Probity and see where that has got us...
But recently they have suggested that they are trying to move away from such a simple Pay to Win and towards a little less an aggressive stance....Something has to be done and when they have sorted their current issues maybe we can see some movement...

  7. Clans and clan wars both need removing from the game and a totally different game play style needs implementing which is Purley based on company team work, there is no need for the ability to even be able to shoot your own Compay. Most players only do this simply because you can.
The whole company event thing needs rethinking to make company's work together.
Better rewards, better games, better tactics involved.
Clans wars and rogue players in today's dark orbit are simply destroying the servers. Chat is annoying when clans are warring the game is annoying when clans are warring. To have this game progress it needs Comanys to band together but at the moment they are falling apart.

  8. Many true valid points are mentioned here - No need for details ;)

Fight for your MMC screams the Homepage  Fight for fewer space relics.

Shoot in the front yard - side yard - backyard...a floating barrel - I'll bet there is some fish in there  Bring your gun or fishing rod.
