  1. Okay so I need help understanding something.

A thread was created about how the Clan Affiliation used (circa 2015) to FORCE the clan to select ONE of FOUR choices, you had the 3 Companies and ALL (MCC). The only way to have other Company Players in your clan was to select the ALL affiliation. I read how the Orbit has no control over the Clans make up but without even looking at what was being said the thread was closed as NO ONE CONTROLS what the Clans do.

The ISSUE, where it is the Control of DO is the fact that you no longer have to select "ALL" as the Company affiliation, meaning that D O HAS ALLOWED the Clans to become MCC while showing they are SINGLE Company. Just for verification, on US2 West Coast the Top Clan is

    [IИC™] Anaconda Incorporated

who according to the clan details is EIC affiliation NOT "ALL". The thread was created by a VRU Clan Leader who was attacked by a VRU Ship in this Clan as he was picking up Cargo that was open for anyone to get and later WARRED for having been doing this.

Now this leader went on to mention his Clan back in 2015 had to kick a MMO member from the clan to make the change from "ALL" to VRU. I have done some checking and see the "ALL" is no longer selectable, but there are Clans that are defined as Affiliated "ALL".

    The Question. Since as stated;

Support nor we have control over how clans set their diplomacy status or who they have in their clan.

Who made the Change in the Company Affiliation section of the Clan Setup to allow NON-Company pilots into a Company Affiliated Clan, without having to select "ALL" and when was this change to the game done? Looking at the FAQ in 2013 the Clan Affiliation was "ALL" and the 2016 addition "In a Clan" only shows the 3 Companies.

The Point trying to be made is IF the Company Affiliation had been adhered to as in 2015 and the "ALL" had been removed we would not have the MCC issue we have today. But someone removed the "ALL" and the Company Block forcing the Clans to accept ONLY SAME COMPANY PILOTS and thus the MCC Single Company Affiliated Clan emerged.

  2. As a member of that clan, I checked and what you say is true. I didn't notice our company affiliation until you pointed it out. And regarding poseidon, I asked one of the leaders; and he doesn't know who warred him and the reason why.

    Cheers,

HelpMeHelpYou As a clan owner I originally set my clan affiliation as MMO :
I have been toying with changing company affiliations around since reading this post this morning and now I am temporarily stuck with having to be listed as [ALL]

Yet I am a MMO member with MMO players in my clan except for 1 member who is VRU reason being is [ my member is the brother of the VRU player]
So in order for me to switch back to MMO I am having to dismiss the VRU member the reset my affiliation back to MMO then re accept the VRU brother back into the clan thus making my clan a MCC once again w/o having to list myself as an [ALL] company affiliation
Since I play on 2 other servers as a Free Agent I'm going to try and see what I my limitations will be as a clan owner. If I'm not mistaken my affiliation can be either the Company I am in or [All] since I would be a 1 member clan [ONLY].
I will be able to accept members from other companies even though my affiliation will be my registration company. I see a [x] fold advantage in this relating to circumvent the loss of 50% honor and the 5k uri needed for a member of another company to join my clan .
It also creates an advantage when a clan is warred thus giving the MCC red targets , chat advantages , map advantages for targets and the competition as to Who is the Best Company Clan even though each company has members of other companies in it. So we are back at square 1 What to do with Multi-Company-Clans?

  4. The point I was trying to make is the Affiliation selection used to prevent the addition of other company players, unless "ALL" was chosen, now it does not.

  5. if i remember correctly that option ''all'' only changed battle stations to be inactive, basically station don't attack anyone but clans who are at war, and everyone could shoot it. all 3 co's could join the clan no matter the clan affiliation.

  6. I like this better.

It kinda screws with people who want their clan to be labeled company specific, yet have non-same company players in their clan.

  7. Hi All,

When I first started out (USA (East Cost)) and was looking for a clan. I started down the list. I saw some clans that welcome all to their clan. I for one thought that was cool. All for one type of group. Then I found my Clan I wanted to join. It is all VRU and I glad for that. I have met MCC's and the out come was always bad (I died). Watching my own company attacking or not helping me was sad. One on One isn't bad, but with you have 3, 4, 5, or more attacking you I just stop fighting back and let them kill me. Oh I try to out run them, but that many guns on you, you are not going to last long. So save your ammo. I on the other hand, I would help my company not hurt it. Even if the odds are not in our favor, and I may die anyway, but together we may get one.

    Angus
