[SC] Hall of fame

There is one thing (amongst many) that is fundamentally wrong with the home page on this game and that is the hall of fame .
Now given that darkorbit advertises itself as a massive multilayer fast paced action packed super fun pvp game with millions of players, why on earth are they listing the top 9 players of each server as 'BEST PLAYERS' when in actual fact these players are simply put ...The players who have done the most galaxy gates in order to get themselves on the homepage ? All that this is doing by adverting these players is suggesting that the aim of the game is to earn as much ep as humanly possible !This is not what this game is supposed to be about !
If you want to encourage more activity in the maps then surely you should be advertising the best ship kill players ? By advertising the people who earn the most ep you are simply miss advertising this game for what it's supposed to be about .
Now before anyone moans that I'm only jealous well I my self am also in a hall of fame I was first I'm now slightly lower as I quit around 2 years ago .
But the question is why on earth in a pvp game that is all about battles and fighting would you then go and advertise the players who spend all day in galaxy gates as 'BEST PLAYERS'
I think this game is seriously confused as to what it is meant to be .

 

Better would be that they post the top 10 for the past week. That gives a better representation of what you have to deal with now....

The hall of fame is placed perfectly as it should be, it represents those that put in 7,000 Hours of game play (a very hard grind) to make them selves #1-10; it represents how much is possible considering you start at 0 Top user points and make it to an infinite number.

By your statement you are saying I do not represent what the Hall of Fame should look like??

Player activity: 5,993 hours

My very hard grind in over 1,200 Galaxy gates, nearly 48 Billion Experience points and nearly 27,000 Ship kills.
I think I deserve my spot in the hall of fame....do you not??

 

I personally feel those are great stats, and your argument is justified. I like to look at resent stats personally as it shows me who is active right now.
