[SC] Hecate Ship - Particle Beam

    It starts with a base damage of 8,050 and increases every second by 6,000, lasting 5 seconds.
    So;
    activate ability 1 - 8,050 damage
    2 14,050 damage
    3 20,050 damage
    4 26,050 damage
    5 ability ends OR causes 32,500 damage

    The Faq is unclear, does the ability last for 5 seconds (it does damage 4 times and ends on the 5th second) or does it do damage 5 times over 6 seconds?

    Either way, I can see now why the ability seemed to be so ineffective - At best IF you can stay in range (10% loss of speed means you probably won't) for the full 5 seconds you'll only deal 100,250 damage (Far less than one X4, RSB combo in a Cyborg which has the added bonus of not slowing you down to make you a giant target for anyone close by). No need for JamX as a counter (just another thing the Spearhead might but unlikely be useful for), insta shield will negate the majority of the incoming damage.

    As with the Centurion - Why did the development team release the Hecate, making it 2 new ships within a few months, neither of which is even close to a counter for the most OP (and widely used) ship in the game?


    Sadly I was misled - When I saw there were two new FAQ's for the Hecate and Centurion I thought they may be balance pass information OR at least FAQ's asking for suggestions on how to make the newset two, sadly mediocre, ships introduced recently worth using in a game where ONE ship rules the skies and the only real counter is to outrun or outnumber your attacker.
