Do you think something could be implemented to help improve the experience for free players?

  2. No - The system is completely fine, free players are peasants anyway.

  1. ŜPζĐΞЯˆΜΩЛКΞΨˆ{Šλм} U say its easy to be ufe if u are free user so pls tell me how cause i dont know.U cant do cc,no prem,no rebate, cant spin gates with uri and much more.If it is easy to be free user why u spend money on DO then??

  2. To be honest, many other "free" MMO games are greedier than D O. They don't allowed you to reach the highest level/best equipment without banking Premium. Most of these MMO games don't delight the players, the number of players are low. However D O is a "special" game ("thanks" to BP). You can get the super strong Ufe account without banking, but you will need much more than 1 year. Unfortunately (almost) no excessively played game can hold its players more than 1 year (except the small targeted group: personnes over 30).

(My own theory) I assume D O is a low-budget game (for the devs). And they can't impress us with great stuff, they can only do small steps, which need longer and are dirtied with bugs. The high number of servers (50?) and the incredible low number of employees (around 25) support my theory.

  3. Sit Back and Relax and you can do a lot on this game without paying into it. I am getting a late start on this thread for some reason but can see its still alive.

I agree to a point. As most in the forums know, I play free. I run around in a bigboy or a nostro with, hang on to your seats, No prem/rebate/ext..., Flax Drones, credit lasers, credit shields/speed gens...

The biggest problem with that is after going 13 months, players constantly say "Why are you still in a bigboy? Where is your Goli? When are you going to get your iris?" I play this way to prove how far I can get this way. Will I get popped a lot? Of course, at 400+. Will I complain? Only when it gets stupid, everybody knows how stupid it can get out there. But I laugh more as there is nothing really funnier to see than a bigboy being blown away by some uncloaking, high ranking, UFE ship.

Now for the OP. I feel your pain. The sad part is the real problem is not even the equipment that has rolled out over the years. Well that is a huge part of it because it feeds into the real issue it as caused. The crazy ego's. I have been popped by a number of high ranking top 100 players on my server, but most of those will just do it once, maybe twice and after saying "hi" will move on. Unfortunately there are a great many who simply gloat like the only kid in class with ice cream. They stalk you when you pick up your ice cream and snatch it from you before you can take the first lick. They stay in chat about the kill(s) forever, knowing you are the only one on the server they had a shot with. Like I said, I feel your pain, while at the same time I keep going. In not playing for the PVP goal, I pay my 19k credits to repair at a port and keep going my merry way. I don't expect to reach the end of the rainbow any time soon, but I won't let the crazy to keep me from advancing.

The Dev's do have to show they are working on making things better and have changed a lot of stuff in order to do that. The improved auction and the better layout of beginner missions was a vast improvement. Somethings are for the worst, like when they were moving the hanger to the client, and still talking about it coming in the future. Adding new stuff to keep the interest up, mainly for UFE but anyone with cash or uri available can get it, like that Tartarus that runs in, pops you, and then the player stays in chat for an hour bragging about how it got you. Some things are good that come in. The whole premium thing? Its nice, I have it on my main account. I will more than likely keep it on there, however 3 shortcut bars? Overkill.

In the end, I am wondering if your mcc problem is not a group moving around from server to server, because it seems our mcc problem has been absent of late.

  4. I would agree with you but as DO has evolved they forgot that eventually even a free player might be tempted to buy uridium for log disks to get their PP's faster. Now the balance is so far out of whack they are too frustrated to hang around as they get one shot popped all the time.

Answering to the OP's rant:The wallet warriors aren't the people who pay to get UFE equipment. The wallet warriors are the people who pay for elite ammo.If you wanna fight people every day of the week, every week, you have to pay.

Free players can progress in the game!Just build gates man.Paying to get UFE equipment faster is only going to speed up the proccess, that's all.So yeah, gates exist, just build them and you will git gud.

Between the posts made by PSK-Sundance & Dracarys, they have been able to express the feelings I have for this evolution of the game. Years ago I paid some money, and was able to play with the other FE's. Now, I play the game to pass time. I have complained about getting popped so often, but have come to realize, that's the nature of the game. So I'll play as a "credit warrior" so long as I'm having some fun. But if someone wants to pay for what's offered to get to the top quickly or get better stuff, that's their choice. I can be there too if I want to pay. I just don't want to. And when this game is no longer a fun diversion, I'll play something else. It's my choice.
