I would like to see a developer or anybody involved with this great game start this game from scratch as a free player on a busy server (ga1, gb1). I would like to watch this live streamed. I think the dev team might walk away with some new thoughts about this game. And they might listen to some of our ideas and concerns a little more closely. I am sure there are devs who play or have played thats cool. The point is I want to see you fight your way to the top like many of us have. I want to see you lag, i want to see how you like being insta popped. I think it would be a lot of fun to watch, and I think it could make for a better community.

  3. Wait, what? When would they have time to fix the problems? This game is too addictive when you start playing to put down. I am sure they have a company policy against playing games at work. LOL

  5. They already know....Its like a dog who pooped on the living room carpet. We all smell it, and would like to rub the Dog's nose in it.....but that will never remove the stain.....or make the Dog care.....

My point : Stop caring or spending money on dog poop, and definitely stop trying to make the stinking dogs care about it, they never will unless their boss says "your job is to care now...."

...Maybe on a personal level they (the Devs.) care, but from a company standpoint, they will never care.

I started playing this game right before the first year anniversary in 2006 /2007 ( on a different account that I lost due to inactivity). Back then the DO team that I dealt with back then seemed to be way more understanding and cared more about helping the players than they do now. I'm not sure what happened.

  7. Man, If that's how it is then the game is doomed. Maybe they should sell the game to someone that cares, we deserve
better. Its really sad just remembering all the Space pilots that have come and gone predicted we would be having this
conversation. Back on the old forum I remember someone starting a thread about bailing out on the game or sticking
around to watch it crash and burn most bailed:(

  8. There old DO needs fresh workers who are full of creativity and ambition. Not these who just do what they are told and dont put there input.

Why dont you go work for BP? It is surely easy and fun to develop game right?

  10. I read in another post that part of the problem is BigPoint was bought by another company and they are trying to kill off the competition to their other games, which D O is one of them. This is the reason the Events have become so lame and is all about trying to get the MONEY before they shut the game down.

Good luck getting hired. basically have to move heaven and earth to code on the game

  12. Why would they hire anyone that cares about the game when they are trying to let it die anyway? The reason the game had so much trouble in the early years were the programmers made back door entry points and were using ships with "invincibility" skills and were causing all types of problems. This is why they changed the A I in 2011 and then did the re-load in 2013/4 (I was not playing at that time, internet issues on the road), now they just want to try to pry the money from wallets and see how far they can go before they have no one in the servers and start closing them.

well if they actually fixed the game, it would generate revenue again. im pretty sure many many people love this game still but just cant deal with the outrageous prices and lack of care from Rick Deckard. just drop URI prices 50% and watch this game flood with thousands of new players. I think the execs on this game just dont understand the notion of "marginal costs"

  14. Bigsteve I agree. With all the micro transaction an flash sales DO/BP only have to do 3 or 4 tweaks to get it going.
Personally I would like to see better newb protection against high level/powered ship. Increased uri payout for certain
or all NPC's. Make better prices for URI purchases for people who don't mind spending some change. Do something more
fairer in regards to obtaining UFE Equipment and some type of server merge that give the High Level UFE Ships a place to
play. This place should be awesome enough to encourage people to level up just to play in there:cool: In that order.

  15. The whole problem is the imbalance that was created when they made the UFE player. This was when the UFE decided they were tired of killing NPC's and needed to HUNT all the time. These players farm gates for ammo to kill any player they find and usually using MCC members of same company to find targets and get assistance in a kill that needs no assistance. All that would be needed to get the populations back up is a semblance of balance/protection of low level players and ALL lower HOME MAPS (x-1 to 4) not meaning these maps can not be hunted in but a level 22 UFE could not attack a level 12 sub FE player. This protection is to detour the UFE hunters from chasing the noobs out of the game and would not transfer into the battle maps or uppers but would allow players to do simple quests (like the daily quests) in peace without being blown out of the water every time they turn around.

The fact that instead of helping to protect the new players these UFE players have decided they are not worth anything except an easy kill. Unlike back when we all started and could yell about an enemy in the map and get a protector or two to come running to save the day. Now the protectors are actually helping to kill the player even faster and being the same company makes it hard to create loyalty to a game that goes against the introduction the new player reads about 3 companies fighting to be the best in the galaxy. Not individual clans of UFE members trying to increase their rank by killing PvP (which is a lot faster than PvE), don't believe me look at the top 10 users and who was their 2 years ago and where they are now, these players were to FE players who took a fight and gave a fight and controlled the game (and their position) until the cheaters/exploiters/MCC's took over the game and ranking system.

  16. Hell ya what DarkLord said if Yall aint gonna do anything about merging servers or helping the new players then please Hand the game over to another COMPANY PLEASE like by the end of this year at least

  17. The prices actually are more than 50% off. Just get rebate and prem and wait for the % sales :D Most don't want to wait is the thing. Farming for uri has been taken away in LoW and invasion. Just pally and enjoy the risks.

Yeah, BP was bought by another Co. and that's when the game/DO went downhill after that. Co. merger or by-outs are supposed to save customers money...haha - yeah right, they gotta pay back the loan they used to buy the Co., so up the prices it goes.

  19. BEING A FREE PLAYER ISNT HARD !!!!!, I have free player account in eic and a paid one in mmo, yes you get a lot further if you pay towards your progression, but time and patience free players can do it too, I ranked up to 85 million xp in 2 weeks, access to most maps, all I done was do all the quest all the uri adds up eventully, and buy and bid on some lf3s and get stronger then you can make upto 10k to 20k uri for a couple of hours and then just used the free uri on gates spins, avoid alpha, beta and gamma as it takes uri n spins for all 3 but the rest all take as one, there job done,
BTW, I also done a kappa and a zeta on my free account within 4 weeks, so it isn't hard if you just smash all the quests
now 5 weeks in my free account acc sits at 108 mill xp, and 8 flax and got full lf3s, good enuff for a free player all uri goes on gate spins, which give plenty of free repair,
THE PROBLEM ISNT THE PAYING OF ITEMS IN THE GAME, ITS THE BALANCE OF CREDIT ITEMS THAT LAZY PLAYERS CANT BE BOTHERD WORKING FOR.
IF NOT GET A DAMM PAPER ROUND. soz for the caps

  20. Credit items will never be balanced with their uri counterparts. The game is set up to make you upgrade to the uri equipment as fast as possible. Both DO and players signal how much you should get all the uri stuff as fast as possible. Only those still trying to build up their ship(s) and I have it, and only those like me, which I doubt there are many of, will stick to the credit equipment.

However, I will give you that paying for items in the game is not the problem. Its the "I got to get that right now" attitude. Now that there is a push towards cosmetic items rather than power items, maybe players can take the time to work on "making some uri" to use on gates or buying some of the hot specials that come up, not to mention upgrades.

Back to the OP, while the dev's might play, trying to reach the top will probably not be on the priority list. But it would be good to see them try, from home, without buying any uri, from scratch. I am not talking about playing in the test server but a regular server. Global servers may be too much to ask for as I am sure those prices, in auction, could chase even them away. This would be a good test for them to see what is really going on. Using company facilities is not a good test of what is happening to the actual players. No Mods.... Your too busy with the mess in chat and forums to get in some play time. :p Plus since you don't paid, yeah, I am not sure what keeps you moderating in the first place.
