[SC] Im about ready to quit

Been a player for a long time, gave DO enough of my cash and i feel its coming to an inevitable end.

The game has become imbalanced, the basic mechanics of the game are losing pace to new upgrades and laziness. Do you guys remember when bio first came out and the NPC shield strength all of a sudden became more resilient? We got the explanation that this was originally how the NPC's were meant to be - i didnt buy it then and still dont now.

It was basically a move to make the game more challenging and harder for players to earn massive amounts of uri with new bio settings. This was the first move DO made which to me was significant in regards to their "if it aint broke dont try to fix it" behaviour. I remember when halloween events were on there were big and small pumpkins, the big ones had up to 600 uri in em, could you imagine that these days?

Yet, if you look at whats available to spend uri on its more than quadrupled but they have cut rewards and prizes right back whilst offering more and more upgrades and purchase only items in shop.

Everyone around me is getting stronger and stronger and its affecting my game play, cube maps are being overun and my reliable source of income is disappearing so im reduced to boxing and its so boring - on top of this (again with the upgrades) its getting more expensive to fight with the ring formation they brought out.

We need more, i need more - because to me this game is dying and im struggling to play as much as i used to when i enjoyed the game. We need new NPC maps, better farming for UFE players, better quests and better rewards and prizes.

The biggest thing ive noticed is how tight fisted DO is becoming, ever since botters etc we have all been blanket punished and even get very little reward for quests now. The latest event (masque) was a huge dissapointment for me not only in its content but how it was delivered - with serious errors for the ENTIRE WEEKEND. Did we get an apology for this? Nope, and this is why i see myself requesting my account be deleted so that i dont come back.

Ive seen so many vet players make the same post i am making now and i could never fathom why they would make such a bold statement, but now i am at that point too. I see nothing being done and there is no interaction with Devs and us players - they just come up with random crap like the latest event without passing by us first. There was a point when devs said they would interact with us more and that did happen albeit for a few months then it stopped again.

This is me telling you Devs you need to do more, interact with us and ask us what we want! Devs, you have forum mods so they can regulate and control posts so why arent you checking in with us? This game for me is dying, with you guys not caring and rogue players spoiling it for everyone else, the jackpot battle has been stopped until further notice and has been for a long time now.

So in a nutshell BP cannot keep up with its own updates/upgrades in game and just stops players chances at winning 10k euros, dollars, pounds, potatoes with no updates or anything - its just been stopped. That to me looks like defeat that Devs are happy to accept, because i see or hear nothing being done - because you guys dont talk to us, you talk AT us.

What am i worth? I religiously renew my rebate, premium and box doubler and buy the odd goody when it comes out - all in all youve had about £1000 from me over these few years - for an online game that you seemingly have little control over.

If i do quit im going to console - watch this space.

 

This game eventually gets to everyone. It gets to me from time to time, and from I can tell, goes all the way to the top of the rankings on all of the servers. The surprises that come out from time to time are nice looking but I agree, these surprises cost a lot and really force a player to make a choice, grab the credit card or miss out. Missions, even planned, coming out on a weekend is a major failure. There will be nobody to fix problems when they arise. There never is. Chat outages on both sides of the pond was a firm example of that, although if I was a betting man, I would say it was planned; American side one weekend, European side the next weekend. I mean come on, entire continent outages for the same number of days with no explanation given. Same with these mission failures. We get Test server hints about what is coming up but they don't test out the fine details of the missions before steam rolling them out?

I think there is something in the programming that says npc's are stronger against stronger ships. Its apparent when I kill the same npc's with different ships on the same account.

In the end, it makes me glad I am playing with a new goal on this account. DO, while they are actually doing more for the up and comers, has no plans for if it takes them a while to actually get out the gate. With the push from day one to get so strong, players are led to believe that you have to do it really fast and there lies the frustration. Everyone really needs a 2nd account just for sitting back, relaxing and smelling the roses. An account where you don't really have to be in go mode all the time, just playing and having fun. Maybe if more players did this, dev's and stock holders would realize that the steady push for cash flow surprises is not really the way to get things done. I know, trust me I know, some players want to see these little things coming as they have been looking at the same things for years. Truth of the matter is they have really just gotten away from where this is still just a game.

They not getting that.

All they do is adding new things that we dont need and with them they even more increase our damage and resistance. Hell BP, 4 cubes in 1 map is NOT ENOUGH for 1 player and you have them for the whole company !

And the amount of money that are we forced to spend is quite dissapointing me.

edit: So JPA is now removed 4ever and we have pointless UBA instead of that ? WHere u have to waste 2k rsb a fight and im not talking about x4 emp ish and rest things , then u get 1 point for fight. U log u come back and player that was 200 points below you is now 200 points above u <--

 

My 2nd account is much more work than my main, lol. I can do quests for hrs on 2nd account until i run outta ammo. On my main I just search for people to kill in between gates.

 

Here is the facts this is a game and its pricy to maintain all the servers so DO needs to squeeze as much money from the wallet warriors as they can and further proof of this is the 2 mega back to back with special ammo sale and boosters my maps went from full to empty because wallet warriors where up our space killing players off cubes so the map was empty and eic controlled im vru and eic beat us up yesterday and today blew up all our cbs um took over our maps and yesterday to today big decrease in activity maps where dusty eic where hugging it and it was literally unplayable like no joking there's nothing u could do without dying 100 times a day even vru ufe where dying they where over run and if a server merge happens with these condition games dead and only wallet warriors will pay it and either they run out of money or end up in debt they will keep playing but they will soon pass.

 

Its sad, but all of my forum posts have been in this vein. It hurts. I love the game but there is no point in playing. its become a ghost town where mcc's cube and occasionally shoot newbs. Today I logged in and shot a VRU out of 1-6 hoping to defend mmo turf so he called in 2 Eic 1 VRU and 3 MMO friends. the mmo didn't even defend the turf. the basic mechanics of the game are long gone and I have been SCREAMING on the forum for more uri, cheaper uri and rewards for pvp kills relative to rank difference. I need more to.

 

The sad fact is I don't think DO or BP give a crap about any of this! The forums are here so we can vent and hopefully feel good enough about our venting that we will still play. The lack of info from the Devs (who by the way use to also be players of the game when DO first came out) is proof of this. They give out a drop of info here and there and it doesn't seem as if they have any intentions of doing anything.

I have read a lot of different ideas on these forums and it seems to take years for DO/BP to decide that they will definitely think about doing something... maybe! BP has so many games they own I wonder if DO has Devs just for it or do the Devs split their time between all the other games?

DO needs to put out an apology to all players for failing us and the game! They have dropped the ball and have not only not picked it up and tried again they have kicked the ball down the road and have no interest in picking it back up. DO/BP doesn't seem to take any of the blame for the problems going on. They say things take time, well I say you need to fire the people who are taking their collective times and hire people who know gaming and know how to get things done, because the crew you have calling the shots haven't a clue!

I could go on but it wouldn't do any good as I am just singing to the choir!

Sauron and 77transam youre both right, except for the last bit transam, whilst i have vented it hasnt relieved the pressure and im still ready to quit, i havent played since i made this post. I got a new project car that i want to put twin turbos on so im thinking of putting my time and money into that.

The simple fact is, i know they dont care and i hope the new joiners see this thread. On a quick note BP, do you realise how many noobs ive helped lately? You can kiss that goodbye aswell as my bank details.

So many good customers here and you guys just cant be bothered, the events and lack of customer interaction prove this. Shame on all of you, if this was my company i'd run a much tighter hip and listen to what the customer base wants. If i could be bothered i'd wipe my account now but its been a long day, and by wipe i mean erase everything and put it on youtube because theres no coming back once i quit this time for good. BP is faceless, unnaccountable and lazy and they dont deserve my time or money.

Sorry for the rant guys but after years of playing and putting up with their crap its not gonna be a trickle, lol.
