[SC] Is darkorbit worth to play?

Hi. I have been playing this game since 2009, but I am not sure whether I want to come back. Is it worth to play this game? What do you think? What is your opinion?

 

I love the game i've been playing 4 days now i'm level 12, nearly full elite with help from the clan im in as they send me credits to help me out and help shooting aliens,

The daily login also helps a massive bunch as it gives me stuff that I need for assembly to get the PET .... So in my opinion its worth coming back.

 

Unless you're willing to invest long-term(I'm talking months to years here) to be able to compete with most other players, I would recommend you find something else. If you enjoy grinding though, DO's got plenty of it.

Worthiness to play is really up to the individual player. With my main, I am probably working on playing the same as most players but on this account I am grinding away while playing as the little guy. While most seem to be trying to get everything in the game as fast as possible, I am running around in the Bigboy and Nostro, and even the Liberator and Piranha. With two years under my belt on this one, its really my main now. Grinding away, trying to make my Epsilon gate and loving it. Spaceman is correct as you have to be willing to play long-term. Its the only way to feel you worked at it is over time. These new players that seem to make UFE in 6 months and then talk major smack are just in it for the impending heart attack.

Long answer: Yes, prepare for frustration, about every day you will be destroyed 10 times by wallet warriors and botters, usually wallet warriors are botters, but Bigpoint is too scared to bann them because they are wallet warriors, soo its not good for their pocket to bann them, they are something like ubisoft, greedy for more money... Only thing they are working on now is server merging because probably it again, doesnt pay of for them to have a lot unpopulated servers, couse it probably wastes their money and resources... Update which they are working on (Balance Patch: The Emerging Light) has been anounced on September 20, 2017 is still not out yet (Its probably very hard for them to find game files and adjust some variables in it). But this game was dead way befoure that, it was better when only Lf3s were available and not stupid LF4s and insane damage combinations. The peak was full Lf3 lasers and BO2 on goliath and drones, and two players with that equipment were equal. Nowdays, bot all day, spend more money... No wonder why this game lost big chunk of players... Anyway when you reach full elite status (possible with skylab transfering), you have few options, first one is to collect paladium and build galaxy gates, collecting is usualy boring, and expect wallet warriors to kill you (form paladium group soo you can comunicate between each other to spot wallet warrior), second one is to farm Kristallons or Cubikons, and again wallet warrior can destroy you there easily, and last option is to find a group of really strong players and ask them to help you on whatever you need... If you are wiling to play after reading this, remember, its just a game and try to have fun, dont take it too seriusly, and dont waste your money on it, even when it offers you shit like 400% more uridium for your money, only thing worth buying is premium soo you can use kamikaze...

I have to agree with Mikoyan, I took saturday night off to upgrade my ship with the new Hercules drones. For some reason the hades gate did not give out Schism Crystal. I done three gates of hades and one delta not even counting the boosters I purchased! I wrote support on the matter:

This does not make no sense! I was told you get Schism from completing a Hades gate and Delta! I been playing this gave since 2000 and it is ridiculous how they treat players in this game! If he would of check my log and would of seen how many gates I done but this is another way of DARK ORBIT just do not care about players! So its is possible I took off work for nothing!

 

First of, it has been since the start like this. Second thing is that Aurus is also dropping during these days. These are the special ores you need for the booty keys, therefore they're dropping it on the booty key days.

Problem is they will kill the game entirely if they ban them. Most of the people bot.

This needs testing and something else as well and is set to be working on next after the merges. Ofc our forumposter12345 can apply to the Bigpoint to "adjust some variables" in the game, so we can again see game breaking updates and a lot of bugs.

Since 2006 this has happened and nothing has changed. Also there's third way, collecting bonus boxes, which is more viable than Palladium.

Last weekend was a slap in the face to most of us long time players...
There were no Schism drops and absolutely no mention of Easter (no eggs, special bonus boxes, etc)

Tbh OP: you shouldn't play, it's not worth. The events are horrible Ufe top clans events, where non clan players get rekt, there isn't protection nor help. You might look over the (rare) patches and consider later. I don't know, if there are big plans for the future.

 

i started playing in 2009 ,,my attraction to the game was because i thought i could win money as it was advertised that way back then ..when infact all is does it make you spend money to get anywhere !
AS for the numerous cheats hacks and those that use them ,they are scumbags just like whoever sold the code for them to be deployed

The game is getting worse every day. I am quitting when prem is gone in a weeks time. It is just a waste of time now that the game has been ruined. The original game made enough cash for the original creators and was great, but greedy people pushed things too far after they bought it. Not worth playing.

The real question is do you want to play? There are so many games out there. This one can be enjoyable today, but another more enjoyable tomorrow. What is it you want to do on the game? I have a personal mission to get the Spartan blueprint and to finish the last 9 PVE missions I have before making level 22 and opening those missions. Although the bugs and cheats are a major turn off, the chat we are forced to read is even worse. Fortunately I spend most of my time either in group or clan chat so I get to miss out on the majority of it. So again, do you, the OP, actually want to play or are you just opening a chance for players to voice frustrations? Personally I think you forgot about your thread right after you posted it almost a month ago.

 

If you like the game then PAY....... or..... PLAY.
You must also accept that very little that the players want is actually acted on.
You must accept that the events are all RERUNS( when they actually work) and that the "special few" TOTALLY control these "events"
You must accept being bullied by the MCC's that DO have done NOTHING about irregardless of the largest posting I have ever seen in this forum..

for me I am still playing because I find a friendly clan, but we will all stop for sure

played multiple servers: Made UFE and yet flies a LF3 based ship cuz its more fun, I fly a nostro at most.

This game population is so bad, LF4s ruined this game to the max, fights last 3 seconds instead of 30..
whats the point????


Sometimes i 1v1 people who run lf3s just to get the feel of 2007-2009...
