What if darkorbit develops a really good bot, let's it run for a free weeks, get popular, then bam everyone using it via IP

 

Why would they do that? That's basically asking to shove your game down the drain.

 

So it's like a bot that collect's boxes or grins npc's and tracks the users IP and account so he can get banned?
DO would never do it like that, but idea is not so bad.

 

Its already being shoved down the drain. Most bots will get caught eventually but the faster the better.

exactly. It would have to be decent obviously but considering the devs created the game I can't imagine it being too hard.

 

Well, but still, they wont do that just like they won't make DO actually a free to play MMORPG.. It will always be our beloved pay to win.

The opposite, really. We're making the botters buy the virus, then banning those found to use the bot, or in this term, virus

 

Where would they get it from X-sites are already used but a very good idea

I too hate criminal behaviour on line or in life.

 

They would create one, then post it on the highly used sites for bots get it to be "trusted" then slam em. Yeah it wouldn't get all of them but a solid chunk anyways.
