[SC] Lasers, lasers, lasers

I was thinking about Lasers and the "Daily Bonus" that we are getting. This week for Prim. we get an LF-4 Laser which is normally a weekly bonus.

It started off:

LF-1, LF-2, LF-3, then DO made LF-4. The laser that beats all lasers. Then DO came up with the LF-4 HYPRO (3 types). It was better but not by much. A 16th Level LF-4 operated about the same. The only different I really can see you don't have to level up the Hypro's to get the damage of the LF-4. That save us money and I like that. When I do get HYPRO laser, I do change out to them. What I didn't like they put the HYPRO's in the shop to sell. The people that had money got a deal and the rest of us got the short end of a stick.

Then DO came up with a totally new laser. The "P" Lasers. What I hear is a better laser for all around use. I haven't gone to it because I won't give up my Seprom I have build up over the years, and I don't play as much either for other reasons. But I'm here everyday. Lastly I have two many slots to fill in what they give you to change. That is 15 ship, 10/20 Drones, and 10 P.E.T. making it 25 to 35 lasers. I think you get 10 for the change. That is more Seprom Lasers in use than the new Promerium lasers. Not worth it and you get more if you kill the right alien. If you kill the right alien and get the box.

So here is my thought:
If the "P" lasers is the IT laser now, why are they not giving it away on the 25th day. All the other lasers are obsolete now?

You are thinking about it all wrong, there is no reason for you to give up your seprom you can go to black light maps and kill all the aliens there for rinusk that is the mineral you will need to craft prometheus lasers. The only thing you will have to get rid of the seprom for is to do the missions available for those maps for the free prometheus lasers, but those missions can be accepted once you are finished with your sep. On my main ship I have millions of Seprom. In all banks. Even with shields draining it every hour I still have millions left. I haven't refilled the banks because of the million Seprom limit. The other two ships have less, but still a lot. Beside my first ship, only my second ship, which has the less Seprom, could go to the new gate. My third ship is the youngest, but the easiest to change. It doesn't have the weapons or ammo like the first two. It has some hypro, and few lf-4 are level up some. Most of the weapons are lf-3's, but most of my ammo is credit ammo.

LF4's will be combined in the assemply as a recipe for the new lf4's?..Therefore, that's a good thing you still get them from booty and calender, isn't it?

 

The calendar is totally random. One month the 25th day was a normal LF4. Odd since the calendar did not start until after the newer lasers came out. The calendar over all is a gift, one that has kept people on the edge since it is there to look at all month long. Any gift that is given should be seen as such. Just play like me; I don't even notice what I got for days sometimes as the calendar screen time varies. I click start and leave to get a snack while it loads. At some point you may start the BL missions, guessing after your seprom gets under the cap. It will probably be safer then as the top guns will have pretty much finished that area and be back in the main maps causing havok again.

Yes you are right PSK, I don't normally care what is in the calendar. I just brought to mind that the 25th day Premium was something special. LF-4 isn't that special to me. Not like I have seen or received in the 25th day bonus Premium. I do have extra LF-4 to building Hypro. I haven't done so because I get one a month from the calendar. I don't fly like I use too either. [REMOVED] I have 3 servers and 2 of them have lost their Premium status. I don't feel the need to invest them back. I just don't want to give money to a group who had turn their back on the average person. Wallet Warriors have DO in the pants pockets.

One last thing I wanted to talk about is the Prometheus laser. The way DO has it, newbies are excluded. You have to be strong enough to get to the gate and battle the Aliens there. They don't have a chance. People who had spent the time and money building up LF-4 lasers to 16th Level has paid a price. I have 35+ LF-4 16th level lasers (main server). To give that up and trade all my Seprom away, which took years to build to the levels I have. It isn't right!

I will give it to you, I don't thing anyone saw newer lasers coming. I have been slow rolling the 10 free ones missions, and I am about as noob as you can stay and doing them solo. Since the added ones will take log disk and the like, I seriously doubt I will get past the first 10 unless I can manage to finish my bio.

 

There is absolutely no issue with small(er) players building up their accounts to get full Prometheus with time.

You need logfiles for pilot bio, ammo in general and green keys for Prometheus keys (and maybe 9. and 10. drone)

What do you do:
1. You get all Uri you can get during the week

2. You do as much aby on Saturday as possible for "free" ammo, as much kamikaze as possible for saving ammo. (u don't lose any Uri on aby with weekend rebate)

3. Sunday you do as many zeta gates as your Uri allows you to. (100 logfiles, 50 green keys per gate)

Finally you spend some of the decent ammo you got from the gates on BL doing the missions and farming rinusk.
Especially at the beginning, getting in groups is key, as you barely do enough damage with small amount of Prometheus lasers.
When you have some lasers already, you can farm rinusk by shooting impulses at your own.

*edit: @Angus: you don't need to give up the seprom, you can just start farming Rinusk and ignore the missions!!
Just it will take time until you have the first lasers then, as getting rinusk will be slow due to the missing damage boost from the "free lasers" you could get with the missions.

What are the Rinusk and how do I farm them. Are they in the new gate?

I posted a post on this post, and now it is gone. Why? There wasn't any bad language, there wasn't name calling, or anything that I had say was offensive. It is gone just like some of my words on this post. Is DO afraid to hear the words of its players. Are they so controlling that they want to suppress free speech. In AMERICA Free Speech is a RIGHT. It is our first Amendment because it is so important. To me is seems not here.

I stated my belief's and facts as I know it, and if that is wrong why do we have a Forum?
