[SC] Looking for advice/recommendations

I came back to the game a couple of weeks ago and started to enjoy some of the changes that had been made. I really like how the daily missions have changed to make them more rewarding no matter what the level of the player.

However, and I apologise in advance if my frustration sounds like whining - it's not meant to.

I'm finding I can't really progress that much. I'm playing MMO on Global America 2 and I cannot seem to do anything really without being popped by reds. Now I'm not blaming the reds in one sense - I do realise this is part of the game and accept that they are playing the game in the way it is intended. But seriously - I wish they would at least stop popping much weaker players that have not had chance to build up like they have - especially when they are cloaked!!! Or at least stop keep popping the same ones over and over! <Rant over - thank you!>

I have tried doing missions on 1-3, 1-4 and 1-5, been online for less than, in some cases, two minutes before yes - I get popped again. This is so frustrating - I can't finish missions and am missing out on dailies. Just about all the maps have red enemy bases in them so I'm taking that as an indication that we are most definitely not the dominant faction in the server.

I like this game. I would like to really be able to play it properly. So my question is, can anyone recommend a good server and faction that's kind to new/returning players? I'm not looking for spoon-feeding or hand-outs, just time and space to build up.

Is it worth joining clans? I didn't bother because I didn't want to get caught up in petty wars between clans (I strongly disapprove of blues hitting blues under any circumstances and was very happy and impressed not to have seen any of that on my server so far). But has that changed - are clans worth joining now?

If anyone can offer some advice or recommendations I'd really appreciate it.

Not really worth joining clans. In most cases, you wind up making more enemies, because people have started to make war on their own company members to find more people to kill.

It's just one of the flawed game mechanics that BP's still finding a way to address properly. If you can, try to play at different times of the day. Some times you're lucky and can go hours without popping, while others you get popped constantly.

 

I run into the same problem. I stay in 5-3 all day, and I still get popped multiple times within the hunting hours - all day - and even by an allied clan. It doesn't help that 99% of the people up there are bots. Can't cube because bots own those. Not really any other good way of getting spins since they reduced bonus box loot.
