  1. I must say I find it funny that I am regularly being sent emails about the upcoming MHH which we all know happens on Sundays (usually 1900 server time). The only reason I can figure I see these is because I USED to by URIDIUM, before the changes in the game were so lopsided I found it was a waste of MY RESOURCES giving them to D O.

There are several reasons why I have STOPPED spending money on this game.

First, is the lopsidedness of the CHANCE in the game, one person will get 5 items while another gets 1 in the same time and using the same number of collections.

Second, is the many changes in the game that seem to be aimed at making the UFE's stronger and increasing the imbalance of the game.

THIRD, and most importantly, changes that do not seem to be wanted by the community but yet are forced down our throats. This includes the RUSHED addition of a NEW GATE that had reports of REWARD ISSUE that was not investigated until after the glitch had been EXPLOITED and MILLIONS of URIDIUM had been collected by Gate Farmers.

Please, instead of wasting YOUR resources in telling me when you are having something that happens EVERY WEEK, why not focus on updating the Forums with information about upcoming SPECIAL EVENTS (not the ones we see every MONTH) like Hitac, Advent Calendar (and label doors correctly), Birthday Event, and so on. The sidebar of the back page and the CALENDAR at the top of this page takes care of the ACTIVITIES (when properly updated), BUT do not give enough information about the WEEK long (or longer) EVENTS.

IF you choose to NOT listen to the community POSTING in the FORUMS, WHY do you have the OPEN Forum? IF you insist on allowing the Strong make the game PLAY the way they want to (whether with the ORIGINAL design or AGAINST it) and do nothing to correct the issue, why do you think anyone wants to give you money to throw away in such a GAME.

I am constantly reading about how dead the servers are, YET at one point, you had to create MORE because of the overcrowding that used to be here. I know that collecting the BOTTERS and BANNING them has made a SMALL dent in the POPULATIONS, but this does not explain why, BIG WALLET PLAYERS have left the game ALSO. MAY I suggest that you revisit the ORIGINAL DESIGN of the GAME and work on bringing it back to what is TOLD to NEW players instead of allowing the CURRENT disarray of the GAME to continue. Maybe IF you returned to the ROOTS of the STORY LINE and created COMPANY LOYALTY AGAIN, the server populations MIGHT come back up and YOU MIGHT even get MORE WALLETS to OPEN.

    EDIT;

As I have been told my reasons for not spending money are OFF TOPIC RANTS, I have decided to make further points dealing with the reasons for the post and how stupid I think it is I have received 8 (started in November) of and recently (last 5 weeks in a row) became a weekly notice.

NEWSLETTERS - Top Gamers Club (TGC) supposedly created to keep players informed of changes, improvements, and special events coming to the game, yet we get spam notices about something we already know about instead. Why not send out information of upcoming Major Event instead? What point is this other than to entice us to open a wallet they have not been able to get open for a while?

Special Events - Those events programmers work hard to create script to entice more activity in the game and last 72 hours or longer with NEW Missions and NPC's to kill, sometimes repeat annually or more often with minor changes, and should have notices posted in Forums and Newsletters (except when holidays are involved as we recently found out), but this is only if Forum Moderators have been involved with the Dev Team.

In response to Okapi32, support says these newsletters are sent to random accounts and is why NOT ALL people see these all the time. If I was trying to make a personal rant I would not have listed or talked about why I stopped spending money on the game and would have a ton of other items listed.

I try to be as precise and informational as possible to prevent from having to answer other questions instead of responding to comments made to the post. I did bring up some questions and yet you failed to even acknowledge these in your responses.

I'm pretty sure it gets send to random accounts that have newsletters turned on. I get it send to an account I haven't played on in almost 3 years and I think I only bought premium on it.

You don't really need to make a thread about newsletters just to turn it into a person rant about 5 other things, putting every few words in capital letters doesn't get your point across any better either, just makes it more annoying to read.

  6. Sorry you missed the point. Instead of wasting the effort to send out newsletters that are not needed/wanted put the effort into returning the game experience to what the players who started were used to instead of having the new experience they receive currently.

The 5 things brought up were more an explanation of why I stopped investing in the game and the reason I have started receiving the newsletters about MHH. The fact that I am 1 of 4 (real life) friends getting these is just another example of how much of a waste it is.

There is almost zero effort involved with sending out a newsletter. Somebody had to write it once and then it has to be translated once into other languages, probably took an hour maximum. Then the automated system does everything else, there is not a team of 50 people getting ready each week thinking "right today is MHH news letter day, we have to send them out manually to each and every person".

It is not even slightly comparable to changing or adding features into the game.

  8. This is too funny... Don't like what you see but go through the trouble of replying, not once but twice... I keep looking for where the OP said there was a team of 50 working on the MHH newsletter. If you really want to waste type, just tell him its all be said before...

However this is the speakers corner. Players have a right to put their thoughts out there. Maybe the dev's will catch on and stop, or start something. I am not holding my breath but a lead like this thread has to get someone's attention besides the one that has taken over the largest thread in the speaker's corner. o_O

Well said OP. Maybe those things will be fixed sometime soon... by a company employee.

Excellent point Hades. Putting emphasis on key points of your argument has gotten your points across excellently. Expanding on the original premise to point out why 95% of players have quit the game and moved onto better games has been enlightening. Keep up the good work.

  10. Yeah and I am holding my breath for that COMPANY Employee response, in my dreams.
Thank you for your support, however, I have found most of my thoughts do not last long enough to get a response let alone allow any others to read them. I have been a part of the game since December of 2011 and friends that got me involved started 6 months earlier and have already moved to other more exciting and balanced games instead of fighting with the unbalanced game that D O has become.

The biggest reason for creating this thread is for those who have had problems getting the newsletters, like me, were informed the reason was because of the affiliates we signed up using and here I am getting these SPAM newsletters instead of the informational IN-Game newsletters I used to get especially since I am a member of the Top Gamers Club (TGC), not that it did anything for me.
