[SC] My thoughts on DO as a returning player

    This is a game of chance. The build would still be lengthy, but enjoyable, if I actually got what I built gates for...Havocs, LF4 etc. However as it is, it's just frustrating and annoying.
    Then comes the P.E.T. If the AI in the pet was designed to actually pick up the box closest to him, it would bring much more enjoyment to the grind. You could actually work in harmony with the little guy. But no, it just randomly goes to any box, usually the one your headed too...skipping the ones you left slightly behind, for it to get. The P.E.T. actually worked very well when it first came out, but then they decided they needed to make the pet "smart."
    This once was a great game, before the havocs, LF4, apis, zeus, item upgrades etc., but it exploded into a huge frustrating waste of time.

  2. You forgot that the balance of the battle went out the window with all of these updates. It also became a game of Gate Players versus Map players. Causing an even larger gap in the imbalance as the veterans (FE+) who liked sitting in the maps killing the players that attacked them started loosing the battles to the LF-4 equipped ships.

    Not to mention the difference between having premium and NOT having premium. Right now in game there are so many things that you can use and premium members have 3 action bars to play with, while free players have only 1. I have really hard time trying to pick up what to put on the single quick bar I am using, because the ammount of controls you need is much bigger than what the "free to play" game is providing.

    So true... It used to be a fighting game with lots of FE pilots. Now its a hunting game where the UFE can fulfill their god complex. Fully boosted UFE with RSB vs FE or less with x4. I used to recommend this game to people , but now I would advise them to avoid it like the plague. Building to FE is the cheap part. Over ten million uridium is probably needed for Havocs, LF4, Apis, Zeus, Pilot Points and weapon and shield upgrades. All this while making 6-10k uridium per hour with a box doubler....lol If we estimate 10 million, thats 27,397 uri everyday for a year. Fly safe!!

    Those that spend became bored as there was nothing left to BUY.

    Those that spend became bullies and ganged up with other bullies, regardless of company, and popped everyone WEAKER than themselves.

    DO brought out a cornucopia of "Vanity Equipment" and the boredom subsided for " a minute or two".

    Those that spend became bored as there was nothing left to BUY......AGAIN.....

    Those that spend continue to bully and gang up with other bullies, regardless of company, and continue to pop everyone weaker than
    themselves.

    Those that tired of these actions, LEFT the game, and continue to do so, daily.

    AND, Those that spend ....LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER................the end.

  6. You forgot how this story started. It used to be a Map Game before the addition of the EXTRA Galaxy Gates and LF-4's where the wallets bought ammo and shared boosters to sit in the maps waiting for unsuspecting victims to come along and be fodder for their FE+ ships These players did not run in packs but defended themselves against groups of attackers and laughed when they popped after killing 6 or more of these attackers. Now these players have left the game as they saw the need to spend more money than they had invested in years of playing to be on top of the rankings.

    The game has become a game of (like you say) BULLIES ganging up to kill what should only need a single player to kill since these victims are less than FE (usually) and are trying to work to gain the CHANCE rewards that are needed to enjoy the game as it is now.

    The problem is that the end of the story is there is no HAPPY player as no one can play the game because we all lag out of the game.

    Totally Agree with you... maybe once the developers will check the forum and will see tons of topics like this.. and then they can "build" an enjoyable game..
     
  8. No they won't. They look at fake stat charts and come in Twitch with their fake smile and say that there are lots of players on "all the time" so they don't see what people are saying. Then they direct the mods, whose time I feel is more precious than even they must realize, to try to funnel all comments of a single topic into one thread so they only have one thread to skip when they happen to view the forums. Feedback threads get nothing across to the devs. 10's of threads on a subject makes them stop to think. :rolleyes:

Back in the day 50,000 damage was considered extreme damage now this day in age getting hit with 233,007 damage by one person is the "normal" if they are going to do this at least rework the LF-3 and credit lasers and give them like a small 15 point damage boost so weaker players can at least have a slight glimmer of hope they can leave the LF-4 and B02 alone until someone thinks of something better because on average I'm fighting 1,200,000-1,400,000 shields and they still manage to hit like a truck and free to play players can pretty much forget about getting UFE in about 3 months you cannot collect palli you will only get owned by UFE players who have nothing to do but kill people who are trying to get to their pace without using their entire months rent to do so. All I'm saying is ALOT of problems can be solved with a small damage boost on the other lasers then free to play people can actually make a decent amount of URI in shorter time and they can also defend themselves...at least against some people if the admins take a bit more time to decrease that gigantic paywall between free to play and pay to win they will see an increase in activity....also that GE1 lag is just insane most of us are loyal to this game i don't wanna see it die like Deepolis and Seafight

    As you can see in the last 5 years BP never said omg these players are right so change what they want to make an enjoyable game... no from the BP you wont get you're right.. wont do what we the players want because it means you're right but aren't them... so sadly they never give up the egoism and say you're right and it meanw this game will be closed too.. and the funniest thing.. TEST2 always full full full full with players.. but BP or the devs still dont care.. TEST is the only one server which is enjoyable because you dont need farm 3 months for a zeus drone for example... they totally understand what is the problem with the game and why there are tons of bot users and around 50 new players/month.... but the only thing which is important for them is the money money money...sad story but its the truth :((( wannagoback 2010 before apis zeus lf4.. only PilotSheet and special designs.. and that was much more fun then this one... :(((

    OMG just look at this.. that laser skin is still 100000x better than the new one.. really really miss this game.. :(( the best present for players will be bring us back to these times.. after 10 years the 80% of players still say this time was the best...

    I knuckled down and made alot of improvements to my ship (30+ lf4s, havocs etc) but still get popped by UFE's that are wayy stronger and are somehow tankier at the same time. Case in point, 2 citadels hitting 300k combo while still being ridiculously tanky, can't even run away cos they are somehow faster than my Surgeon. They hit so hard that I lag basically haha.

  13. It would help also if they would increase the amount of uri you receive for quests, etc., right now a person actually spends more uri just trying to finish a quest than he or she gets back when the quest has been completed.

    i got hit 447k twice even emped and run on wheel emped again and they still had lock i have put so much money into this game prem rebate doubler mmh every other week but there is so many cheats hacks on this game .and i started playing in sep 2009.so think its time to go back to 2010 client clean a few crookes or cookies up job done regards gb1 player
     
  15. UFE Pilot here: I lost premium for about a week, because of a technical mis-hap, but during that week PvP with 1 bar wasn't all that much harder.
     
  16. No it would not be if you were not switching Formations, ammo, or wanting to drop mines and change to all possible rockets to slow the victim down. X-4, RSB, EMP Burst, Freeze Rocket, SAR-02, Hellstorm Rockets, 3030 Rockets, Slow Mines, PLD-8 Rockets, and CBR Rockets for PvP and then change when doing PvE not too hard to deal with but when you are switching Formations it makes it easier with the extra quick slot and if using all of the mines using the third makes it even easier.

    It is all about the convenience not difficulty of doing.
