    dev blog for 2016...were sorry for the inconvenience....be patient ...were working on it...we have new designs that are real pretty for sale that do nothing to enhance the game

    think that about sums it up in a nutshell

    amber, crimson and sapphire didn't enhance the game not even by a bit back then, but players never complained about that.

    then some genius had the idea of putting a boost increase design....
