[SC] Old returning player with a few questions

I've been playing this game for longer than I can remember and I've went through multiple accounts. I started playing again last week and I have a couple of questions regarding the server populations.

How active is EG4? What's the estimated active population count? Throughout the early maps (2-2, 2-3, 2-4) I've barely met any low level players, if not at all. Playing in empty maps like this is kinda depressing given that when I played before you literally had to compete for lordakias and simons with other players. I've already spend a few bucks on premium and uri and I hope it wasnt in vain, spending money on a dead server. Chat is barely active as well. I certainly hope I'll meet some players later on and get to the action. I'm currently at a state where it's impossible to complete simple quests involving killing a single player, let alone more than that.

If that's the case, and my speculations are true, are there any plans for server merges and is it even possible to achieve? I really do hope the dev team are considering it.

Which leads me into my other question: How active is the game as a whole? I'm not planning on switching servers anytime soon, given the grind I'll have to go through again but it would be nice to know that there's hope, if a server merge eventually happens.

 

Not sure how far back it was when you played before but talking in company chats seem to be just about non-existent on English only servers (US, GB). I can't call it on global servers. Server merges is a topic that is brought up a lot by the forum community and devs have mentioned looking at it but there is no timeline for it. A couple years ago, the bot scans went into effect and just about cleared out all of the lower maps. Shortly after I first started playing, it got where you could not do the daily unless you either did it in the middle of the night or had about 3 hours as the bots were crazy. Now you have all the time you need minus getting popped. Global chats seem to be where everything is but its mainly between those working the pvp circuit. That said, low level players seem to wait on doing any chat so you will probably have to pry their mouths open to get so much as a "Hi" out of them. Good Luck and welcome back.

 

Faction chat is unheard of here, but there was one time I got a discussion going on the global chat (local language tho) so I guess I got that going for me.

 

I hope that you ' Scrublord ' have checked other threads with regard to Server Merge... the reasons for doing it and avoiding it are well discussed and I wont repeat them now... There is a lower head count on certain servers atm although GE1 is still well populated and some others from what I hear... Basically a merge of servers will not solve the/any problem but rather 'could' make things worse until/unless some changes are made to the differential between players (sub-FE to UFE)... And even then I would rather see the servers repopulated and not just reduce the variety and diversity for many players...
Ok that is enough... PSK~SUNDANCE made very good observations and helping new players requires a lot of patience.. maybe even the DO'bible' needs updating and maybe become required reading for new players

Well, as you can see from my forum nickname i play on Europe Global 4 and i can say that there are pretty much players, comparing it with the other Europe Global servers On the upper maps you can see lots of players especially x-6 and x-7, 5-3 is not so active atm, much cl1k3r$and m@cr0-users on PvP map because they're boxing. Best company for a weak ship is VRU, thats what i think. Hope i helped, send me your nickname in the server and we can deal something maybe i could help ya growing

They just don't have english names. They are playing on a global server.

I recommend to the Brazil server, it's very populated during events.

 

I just started playing again and see I have premium. When I left months ago I did not have premium so wondering what is going on. Have not been charged as of today for it so...

 

If you have been active since March 1st (account started before) and logged in the end of March (25th-28th) they gave you a compensation package as it did not load properly on the 5th of April (or the first time until the 18th?) they loaded what did not load originally (9 days Premium and 3 Shared Boosters for 10 hours). It was free and you will not get charged for or have it extended. You can see when it expires in the Uridium page under Subscriptions. You can also see the 3 boosters in the SHOP they are the BO-2 boosters.
