[SC] P.E.T. Build?

As of late, I've been working on getting my marbles together in the game and I've been dedicating myself to bettering my ship. Although I'm currently in the process upgrading my drones and generators, as well as building my skill tree up, I've taken a mild interest in P.E.T.'s

I understand there are various different ways to use them, such as for boxing (which I've been told is a rather expensive path to walk) or for collecting Palladium and all that jazz. But I'm interested in knowing what's the most beneficial way of putting a P.E.T. to use? I can't say that I know exactly what I'd like to do with one myself, but if there are any major pros and cons behind different usages, I'd love to know what's what

 

kamikaze level 3 is best feature, only if you have premium though cause otherwise it costs i think 200 uri to repair after u let it off. dont waste your money on level 1 or 2 protocols wait to get level 3. ive got 12 lvl 3 salvage protocols on mine and my pilot bio is maxed out in luck and tractor beam so in b maps i get 5x EE and a lot of uri from boxes. hope that helps

 

It takes a while and a lot of uri to get the things for your pet as you are building it up but it pays off in the end. Both Pally and Boxing is one set of protocols where general play, both PVE and PVP is another set altogether. If you run one for pally/box and another you will be good though. Get the stuff when the pet specials are on and save. Pally/box setup leaves the pet weaker when aiding in your defense, where building it up strong leaves it weak in the other direction.

On this account, I use mine for general use. It helps me with PVE when needed, and boxes at other times. Personally, when starting out playing, that is the best use of the pet. Those maxed in salvage, and/or radar have been playing a while or paid a lot. Either way, it takes a bit to get to that level. They have the right idea, for where they are, though.

The best way really depends on how you play. I am just PVE and POP, lol, a lot, so my setup is good for me. Well its good for most, but you have to look at what your game plan is.

 

With a NEW PET you want to load all Generators and Guns you can (usually BO2 and LF-3/4 if Drones & Ship is full LF-4) and not worry about buying the Protocol or Gear slots until level 8 or higher. Buy Auto Looter and Radar to fill open Protocol slots, the next Gear you will want to buy is the Resource Collector (for Pally) but I would not worry about buying anything else until it is level 8 (when you can buy level 3 stuff. At this point you should be able to see what you want to use the PET for and then buy the Gears accordingly (if going to use Kami do not buy the Repairer) again only buy the Gear slots as you need them for gears you want/own but after you start buying Level 3 Protocols you will want all of them to fill with multiple Radars and Salvage or Cargo. If using one ship (I use Citadel) for transfers fill the PET with Cargo and increase the amount you can transfer from the SkyLab to ship for credits or Upgrades in refine tab.

 

If he gets all lv 3 if his not going to spend money its going to take him longer just to grind for lv 3 protocols I have 12 lv 2 24 points with tractor beam 2, 20 more points 44 points lv3 would be 56 a bit more but I still make my uri back and dint have to kill myself to do so everyone wants to buy the most expensive stuff then complain about how expensive or how long it takes them if you cant find a way to make things work without the hassle then life is going to knock u down and u should stay there.

 

Thanks for the advice everybody, it's much appreciated. I'm still a little unsure of which direction I'm going to be headed for in terms of when and if I buy a P.E.T., but your suggestions have given me a a directive to head for!

 

Don't buy the P.E.T. Craft it and save 50k uri.

 

Did you craft yours? I ask as players have found that the material needed for crafting takes a long time to gather, longer now than after the crafting event. I got my pet in less than a month of playing but the crafting has been going on for since May, and I still don't have enough material to craft one if using that method.

 

Yup, I have crafted the P.E.T during the Assembly event.
At that period, materials had insane drop rate. But you are right, right now it will take longer to craft the P.E.T, as materials drop rate is significantly lowered.

Still, I think it is worth to craft the P.E.T. Those 50k uri can be invested in something else.

 

I lack 30 peices, but congrates to you. I have more respect to players that suggest something they have done. I was in the mix daily, well still am, but find myself short on a number of fronts.

What I suggested was a honest suggest: I found it much better to farm and craft it, so I can invest those 50k uri on something else. Maybe they are not too much, but if you are in the stage of developing your account, those 50k uri can mean a lot.

 

I built my pet for an all around type use but mainly for assistance in pvp.

Pet level 15.. 10 X LF4 (upgraded lvl 16) ..17 X BO2.. Hit Points 197.6K..
Shields 185.6K

Pet Gear...all level 3..
Auto looter, Enemy locator, Rep, Cargo trader +30%, Kamakazi 75K, Combo ship repair, Auto Resource Collector

Pet Protocols all level 3 ..
Precision targeting +4%, Evasion +3%, Hitpoint +4%, Laser damage +4%, Alien damage +6%, Radar-x2, Bonus Box salvage +3%, Shield +4%


Takes time to build the pet up but is well worth it..
