[SC] PASS THE AMMO PACK

Hi All,

I was wondering about the ammo that is here. DO has a lot of different kinds, and uses too. I have some of everything and used it on all types of enemy. I haven't noticed much different in the power of attack. So I keep looking and searching for "THE ONE." In that way I may save on Uridium in getting the one that is overall the best.

I'm not going to asked or talk about energy rocks, because they change the picture. I am loaded with Seprom, but not everyone is. This is about Laser Ammo and what is the best for the price.

LCB-10 (X1), MCB-25 (X2) and MCB-50 (X3) are always at the ready. I try to use X1 most of the time and then X2 because of the price. Higher the X, more damage and faster the Kill. I like X1 because I can buy it with credits, and that is easy to obtain. They are also good against aliens. For the weak aliens X1 is good because I can take the hits and not get too damaged. Stronger the alien stronger the X I use. MCB-25 and MCB-50 you can also get this in the Auction House if you can out bid everyone.

UBC-100 (X4) is a good ammo, but it take luck to find it and when you find it the amount is little. So my ammo packs are not that high. X4 does a quicker kill than all the other X's. I would like to see this ammo in the "Daily Login Bonus."

Now for the other ammo:

RSB-75, RB-214, RIB-100, JOB-100, SAB-50, and CBO-100.

Now DO give out RSB-75 like candy. This month alone (Daily Login Bonus) it is given out twice and a third time for Premium. I also find it out in the different maps too. I don't use this much so I can't give a good value for it.

Now for RB-214 I like this one because it is 4X the damage and 8X against Demener. RIB-100 has the same damage plus it has Spores too. They are like X4 with the 4X the damage like UCB-100, and I can get this in the store.

JOB-100 is a good ammo too it gives 3.5X of damage but only 1/2 to PC's.

SAB-50 has shield leaching ability, once shield is gone I usually switch to another ammo. But it will kill alone. You can also get this in the Auction House if you can out bid everyone.

CBO-100 it has the power of MCB-50 and 1/2 the power of SAB-50. I have it but I rarely use it. I haven't had good luck with it against PC.

Why you ask? Well I want to know what other player's use and what results they have. Knowledge is power and I like to share what I know with other. I also like to discuss with other their experience too. For newbies maybe this will help them understand the Ammo that is around. I hope for a better improvement of my knowledge, and on the use of each.

Okay a little history lesson is needed here. The X-1 to X-4 are normal laser ammo with the SAB and RSB-75 (sold in shop after MHH). Good players do a UCB-100/RSB-75 combo as the 75 has a delay to its firing so they using the quick keys switch between the 2 as the 75 gives more damage.

RB-214 was a special ammo to aid in the Demeaner Events, as when Originally created the FE+ (no UFE in game yet) needed something to help kill it before it ran through all of the maps.

PIB-100 was the Infection ammo used during the "Parasite Tide Event" and was used to "Infect" Players (this was basically a one shot ammo) the ammo was expensive and just duplicated the UCB-100 damage.

The CBO-100 ammo was designed to kill the 01010101/Referee/Santa Bot that was a special NPC seen in all maps and required the CBO ammo to kill it, now they are a JOKE as anyone can Solo them. This is the BEST ammo for doing strong NPC's (UBK/Cubikon) as it helps restore your shields while also doing damage to the HP of the NPC where SAB-50 is a waste after the shields are gone as the damage inflicted is from the Rockets ONLY so continuing to use SAB after the shields disappear you threw that ammo down the drain.

For the price I would Buy the JOB-100 and use it instead of the MCB-50 (IF BUYING IT) as you get more damage for the same Uridium. The RB-214 is a good replacement for UCB-100 as it is not always available in the Shop, as long as you are not using Tech Center items.

The ammo you choose should be determined by how much time you want to spend playing the game, LCB-10 can kill any NPC in the game (if you have the TIME and skills to avoid their damage), but if wanting the economical quick kill the JOB-100 is the best, PIB-100 is a Joke as when the people thought about it the speed reduction was a great trade off for the increased damage they could deal, in fact many self inflict the infection with the IM-01 mine just for the Damage Boost.

 

RSB is meant to be mixed with X4/CBO and plays big role in PvP.

RB is basically same as X4, but atleast it used to have 100% accuracy (dunno is this still valid), so that it would never miss except under effect of PLD-8. Its mostly being used for important fights, and was top ammo for JPA.

PIB is mostly used to slow down enemies to try have a speed avantage over them or simply cut some HP away, if enemy is full.

Best ammunition for cubicons. Thanks to its low price, the ammunition gives about 70% profit vs the uri spent on it when shooting solo cubi.

CBO is for killing Referee bots and back in the days when JPA existed, it was used on a high shielded configs instead of X4. YOu want to use it in important fights if you have heavy shields.

I'm glad that I put this out there. You have a wealth of knowledge, and information I never knew. I just look at the status of the equipment in the store, and made a decision on that information. Now I have more to look at and more to understand too. I'll be reading this several times to understand which is the best.

Help talked about a combo. How do you set up to ammo at one time? Is it possible to use two different kinds of ammo?
