[SC] Possible to be UFE legitimately?

I don't think it is possible without paying...

I personally have never had any real chance, even my best accounts were max 8 Iris, but not more :/ (after 2-3 years' worth of play)

 

The point of this game, and basically every game, is to get you to spend something in some fashion at some point. Whether its a subscription, or cosmetic items, or needed in game things its all the same as they are in this business to make a profit at the end of the day. You can certainly have some fun with most games for free, but to compete with high level players at top tier levels then naturally it will be expected to invest something, as they certainly have to be at that top level.

Personally I think getting UFE here without actually paying anything at all is difficult to the point of being unrealistic for 99% of people and that is intended i would think. If it was possible in any realistic sense to get UFE for free then alot of ppl would not pay, and if ppl do not pay then the game closes.

IMO you should support a game you enjoy anyways at least a little. Whether its DO or some other game, if you enjoy playing it someone has worked hard to make it that way, and to my knowledge nobody likes working for free and games that are fun and dont turn a profit usually dont last very long lol

 

Playing 2 - 3 years and having 8 iris. You don't really play the game.

 

The way a person would be able to get UFE without spending any money would be permanent Palladium collecting and Gate creation. Doing gates that give chance for LF-4 and Booty keys is the only way to get there without spending any money. All Uridium from gates needs to be used for Upgrades and all ammo from gates need to be used in more gates. Boxing for ammo to do quests and buying Elite Equipment not won in AUCTIONS and PET fuel. Collecting Booty Chests on Zeus, LF-4 and Golden Booty days ONLY is also beneficial to getting UFE faster.

 

U need to play alot by that I mean hardcore 12 hours a day doing nothing but cubing or bk day in day out.

 

This helps with level but does not do much for UFE status or equipment including the Apis or Zeus drones.

 

Well , it is possible (but hard) to get to UFE status without buying uridium , is probably nearly impossible to get to UFE , without buying (premium/2x boxes/rebate)

I will tell you what are the ways i discovered are the best for getting "bigger".

1. Huning in x-7 (You need at least a FE ship , a diamond formation)
Reward: 7-8k uri/h with kamikaze pet + 10-15 spins with loot pet
Cons: one of the worst methods
Pros: best credit making method (better than cubes) , does not require very good ship

2. Paladium (this is the best way for someone who has no pet/no 2x boxes, and not semi-ufe yet)
Reward: 80-95/h no pet | 150 gg/h using pet
Pros: Is better if there are more ppl on the 5-3 (since there are less npcs and the resources spawn faster)
Cons: You have to deal with NPC , and hunters , for me is even more boring than Boxing

3. Boxing (better than pala just if you have at least 2x box , pet helps also)
Reward 9-11k uri/h + 50-70 spins (you can win even more spins if you get Tractor Bean II (5) ) , with pet and double box (i didn't calculate the pet fuel cost but is just little compared with what you win)
Cons: Yes it's boring but every other method of "grinding" is. REQUIRES 2xBOXES
Pros: Can be done with any ship at any point of the game

4. For Semi-UFE (were not really tested by myself but only what i heard from people i know)
a) Solo: Cubes , 15k uri / hour (4min per cube , this might require some x2 munition for only semi-ufe)
Pros: Best way to cash in uridium
Cons: You need a decent ship that will take time to build , Hunters
b) Squad : 4-5 , 15-20k (this i read on forum and i'm quite skeptical , maybe they were a group of 3-4 UFE )
Pros: Less hunters than in x-6 , easier to take care of them since you are in a group
Cons : You need a group , all of the people should have good equiped ships , prob need a pet locator to make thinks easier

I think the best way to invest uridium before you start upgrading should be reinvesting it in gates:
ZETAs are the best since they give you : Havoc, Booty keys , Log Disks , and a high uridium payout (48k) you get better uridium from Beta/Gamma/Delata/Hades(not really sure) , but the booty keys as extra reward would make me say that is just gate to do.

A short calculation from the methods above would result in :
Method 1: ~130 gg/hour
Method 2: ~150 gg/hour
Method 3 :~210 gg/hour
Method 4 (cube):~220 gg/hour
Calculated at 30% cut off for the price at gate


Best way to get Rank and UFE status in my opinion :
Start saving uridium (preferably by farming (bk/cubes) and boxing, best way for Semi-ufe is cubes , best way for anyone else is Boxes with 2x , best way for some who don't want to buy 2x every week/2mounth is bk) and w8 for a cut off at the galaxy gates price (-30%) , buy rabate and premium (-30%) and you will end up with a 40uri/ spin .
Considering Zetas takes 1600ish spins = ~64k uri per gate, pay out from the gate is 48k uri + 15k uri(booty keys at 600uri) + chance of getting havoc .

 

Don't forget x-8, where you can kill some StreuneR (15 Uri per StreuneR!). I earned there every hor around 7 K Uri (with boxing)

 

Everything you have suggested requires PAYMENT. This is not the question asked and goes against what the OP wants to do.

AS A FREE player the only way to get to UFE is to grind thru the Palli Fields, Box like heck in 4-x map, spin the heck out of, and do, the gates that give CHANCE LF-4 rewards and BOOTY KEYS. The best time to actually do the gates after they have been built is to wait for Kronos day where you get double parts for this gate (normally every other weekend on Saturday) having 2 of each gate (Hades and Kuiper excepted) built (one has to be active) will almost complete the Kronos gate (need a third Lambda gate). Granted the Zeta and Kappa would only need to be done once to build a Kronos gate but Alpha, Beta, and Epsilon need to be run thru twice.

But Epsilon, Hades, and Kappa give a chance at a LF-4 and the Zeta gives Booty Keys to collect chance rewards from the chests.

 

I got UFE without paying ...Its all about farming pretty much.

 

It's very possible to get to UFE without paying at all. I've only spent about 40 bucks in the game, and that's pretty much it, the path I'm going, it's helping me. Getting LF4s here and there, drone designs, and currently going for Zeus.

I would spend money in the game to help boost the progress towards UFE, but I'm gonna give it a year or two; see how the game is then since BigPoint transferred ownership to a new company before spending money.

 

well . method 2,4 does not require premium for pet or any other payment . Yet method 4 is for some1 who can solo a cube and that is quite hard unless you already did earn hundreds of k of uri , and method 2 is just much slower than any other xD. I just stated all the ways i tried to win uri , some are better some are not , some require you to pay subs. some not. Overall , i would personally not pay this game if i had no premium , is just too much "game changer" , and about 2x box and rebate ... it will just save you time (talking here of months)

And also if you would have taken my post in consideration you would have seen that getting boxes in 4-x does not worth compared to Pally if you are not going to pay....

 

Palladium is not good without premium at least in big servers. You get killed all the time and repairing either costs or you have to spawn in x-8 base. Pretty much only option is boxing 4-x maps and during events in regular maps. If you are strong enough you can also shoot aliens in uppers but you cannot use pet to box while you shoot aliens. This because you dont want to level your pet over level 8 or its repair cost goes too high. I'm playing GE1 but in small servers surely different strategies work too.

 

Not leveling a pet is terrible advice, boxing bio is at its beast when your pet is picking up boxes.Same for pally when more range = less time to fill cargo.

 

The point is level 8 pet gets level 3 pet items. Your comment just shows you know nothing about the game.

I think the short answer to your question is, you're correct!

 

It is possible. Never paid a cent, and reached UFE. However takes a lot of time. Also, you might want to focus on one account only. -> "even my best accounts were max 8 Iris"
Did a lot of boxing, certainly on events, where pet flies for free. In early days, I focussed on 4-X maps, with 1,5x payout. That requires a fast ship, and being able to escape hunters.
Quests are a good tool, and doing as many gates as you can get from the gg spinner.

I'm one of those fools, who likes the journey as much as the end goal, so I enjoy building up slowly working towards something.

 

If you wont to be a free player and legitimately get to UFE status you have to be very smart with the uri and resources from the game. I would say get the inside scoop from other UFE's that you know, also go to forums there's a ton of info. in here. Gather it all up formulate a plan. Set your goals an be smart and diligent in what your doing.

m89 You have to make your own chances by concentrating on your strongest account. You have to play the game a little bit more at least 12 to 15 hours a week. To get everything you need your gonna have to start off doing a lot of collecting an grinding. You need a ship thats fast, elusive and hard hitting and at least 1 extra hanger to make palling an refining you resource more efficient.

Personally when I started on the road to UFE I had a plan a pretty good one too. Looking back I did make 1 error. I was so eager to get stronger that I did not make the right calculation in regards to the relationship between booty keys, Apis drone Zues drone and LF-4's. I should have built up my stockpile of LF-4's first before I built my Apis and Zeus drone. When I realized what I had done it was too late.
In effect I had to build my Apis drone twice to get better odds for LF-4's. Actually I think a lot players fell for this lolthis why you get more Apis parts on Zeus day Good one DO.

ps: This was also when I started buying premium an the occasional doubler/rebate lol.

 

getting UFE overnight or over a year or two is i would say impossible. it takes time, dedication and a lot of stubbornness my advice grind npcs and spend uri wisely pally is a joke in my opinion a year of doing nothing but collecting pally and doing zetas i would have more fun hitting my head with a hammer.

Once again spend that uri smart ZEUS drone is one of your first stop only spend keys on that day never on apis day as you'll get enough apis parts to build a couple in the time you complete your Zeus drone. save uri and wait for them flash sales never pay full price your talking hours of farming compared to just being patent.

drone formations are another important purchases that can be bought while collecting them zeus parts, collecting pally youll have a hard time buying anything out of the shop as most uri earned goes to pet fuel and recycled back into gates. that is why i always tell people grind them npcs don't need pet so you don't need premium you get one ass in the pally field killing pets you might as well log off being a FTP player.
