  1. Dear D. O.

I have been posting for awhile, and I was wondering why most of my post are not listed. I get "Alerts" to my posts (people who made comments about my post), but I hardly see them in the "New Post" spots. Once in a blue moon I see them, Why is that?

    Are they not post worthy?

Posts or threads that you have already seen/read do not appear in "New posts". I can't say I totally remember if when you create a thread, it then puts you on your thread or say the main page of the forum/section(not something I do often enough to remember lol(or something made an effort to remember)). But it could simply be that your own threads that you create, do not appear for yourself in "New posts".

With that being said, of course other people do see your posts/threads being listed in "New posts". If I didn't understand your question quite right, then of course feel free to explain what you mean more.

*At least for me there is only very infrequent/odd times that a thread someone creates, doesn't appear in "New posts" until someone makes a post in it... >.>

  3. When a thread is created it is seen on the main forum page under the forum type you posted in until the next posting in that section is made. IF you do not look at a thread in your alerts but look at the NEW POSTS you will see your posts listed there. The New Posts show ONLY posts that you have not looked at and were posted since your last visit.

As the author or contributor to the thread, you saw it when you posted, so it does not show as a NEW POST, on your page. Since I look at my "Alerts" first I will not see my threads listed in New Posts but if I go to them before looking at my alerts then I see all of the New Posts, including the ones in alerts.

The main Forum page shows the last entry to any thread in the section, New thread or comment, until someone else adds to that section. New Posts in the list will remain until they have been viewed by you OR you "mark all posts as read" and viewing in the alerts automatically removes from the New List as you did read them at that point.

  4. Hi Kyro and Help,

Once again you have helped me understand what is going on. I want to thank you for answering me and taking your time to do so. Hope you have a good day. I didn't know it wasn't displayed if I had seen it.
