  1. Hey guys, since the forum's haven't been too active as of lately, and since I haven't seen any post like this, what are your opinions in regards to the best ships in the game for pvp? (Not including new ships from x-7)

    Group Fight:

    1. Solace
    2. Spectrum
    3. Citadel
    4. Tartarus
    5. Sentinel
    6. Aegsis
    7. Diminisher
    8. Surgeon
    9. Venom
    10. Everything else

    Solo:

    1. Spectrum
    2. Tartarus
    3. Solace
    4. Surgeon
    5. Sentinel
    6. Diminisher
    7. Everything else

    I don't understand how ships like Spectrum and Tart have not been nerfed yet, especially considered how badly the Sentinel was nerfed?

    leave tart alone nerf the rest tart good for group hunts refractions to escape and all xmaps regards gb1

  3. I recently picked the tart up and noticed especially paired with another tart, how easy it is to kite/escape. Normally only die if you make a mistake :\

    usually them that hit 1st hunting best ammo and boosters usually win but for me emp run gone deeep breath lol

    Pretty nice for this thread to come up at this time, we're actually in the process of a long overdue balancing of some ships and drone formations and plan on rolling out the changes in steps to monitor the consequences.

    I will warn you though it will still be a while before it goes live, will need some extensive closed and some open testing with a few PvP focused players to make sure we're confident with the changes.

    Spectrum and Tartarus were the first things placed on the list though, so you will be happy to hear that. I want to make clear though, our intentions aren't to nerf them into the ground, just enough so that the variety of ships being used in PvP is much higher.

  6. OP32, that sounds like a good step in the right direction, though by nerfing them too much, I feel like the solace when paired with a ton of other solaces becomes the new "op". Hopefully the solace see's a very small nerf, as well as the spectrum and tart. Sentinel and Venom need slight buffs. I think the Diminisher is completely fine as it is.

    For example: Reduce the Spectrum ability to 20 seconds from 30

    Buff the Sentinel ability to 20 seconds from 10

    Lower the speed of a tart to perhaps the same as the pusat

    Increase venom damage per second so it can actually do something Lol

    Solace is touchy...in a 8 man outfit they are insanely strong, hopefully something can be done to make them a little less good in those huge outfits.
     
  7. Ya like remove the shared boosters when in outfit especially shared between companies.

    Make them individual boosters.
    If you have boosters then you have them, if you don't then you don't.​

  8. My opinion both as FREE-player and UFE player

    Ships that need nerf - Tartarus (lower speed bonus, or add more of a downside to the this ability?), Spectrum (ability lasts a bit too long?)

    Ships that need buff - Sentinel(add duration or strengh to this ability?), Citadel (imo range and/or effectiveness of spells are too short/weak? I can't think of a scenario where you'd rather have a citadel instead of another goliath in a PvP teamfight) possibly Venom aswell, takes so long for any significant damage to kick in. I'd personally even add Spearhead to this list, just so we could see this ship a bit more frequently?

    Also, I don't think Solace needs a nerf. Even in a full squad, there is rarely a moment when everyone in your squad can benefit from its ability. Usually, only a few players recieve the heal, and it's not even that great of an amount. If anything, I'd say this ship needs a slight buff.

  9. I think it's good that you guys are thinking about balancing ships:rolleyes: However, there needs to be a option for the player to get a refund
    or some kind of compensation if they don't like the ship anymore. Personally I Don't really care what they do as long as they don't
    touch my TART or I will be asking for a refund whether the option is there or noto_O

    If u want a venom ability that actually does something, then farm the cyborg.

    Shared booster in groups its good for farming aliens, aliens die faster and u waste less ammo.

    I think that it is a good incentive for people to play together and not farm alone.

  12. I personally see every ship as for something



    Solace - great for shoot pirates or farm npc in group so you can sab it and you don't need repair

    Aegis - for me aegis is nerfed solace, heal almost the same, same CD, if you buff it to much than will be ower power but maybe just little shield buff so 2 friends can go farm something and don't need use much sab ?

    Spectrum - ultimative for big group PVP so can tank a lot of dmg, maybe to balance it only thing u need to do is beside 50% dmg from laser reduced also reduce rocket dmg for 20% and laser from 50 to 60% reduce

    Citadel - CBS ship, put 2-3 on base you are safe :)

    Tartarus - buffed version of vengence and pusat, speed is to crazy for dmg it doing, during speed dmg MUST we much more lower 5% is not enough, maybe 20 or 30% lower dmg ? So you can fight or run

    Sentinel - beside reduction dmg on shield I think it must have protection HP, so you tanking less dmg from moth formation or only on shield if you use any other, I think that would be amazing for him

    Diminisher - cloack assasin, come under somebody use power and just delete him, work as it should balanced

    Surgeon - for me best ship to do everything, farm npc, do gates, only bad side is that you can't transver from him to solace, spectrum ...

    Venom - it can be fun, I think its good starter ship for FE, maybe lower total dmg a bit cooldown so new player can go kill kristallon or boss kristallin with him ?

    Pusat - I think pusat should be fastest ship in game, this is small powerfull ship for hit and run since got so low HP, maybe give him 1 more laser or 5% dmg boost to make him as vengence used to be when LF3 was best weapon ?

    Spearhead - underated ship because of HUGE cooldown on powers, ultimate cloacking should have like 5sec duration and 60sec cooldown, can be activated only if you didn't take dmg in laser 10 sec. Idea is fly in cloack during PVP fight use jam to deactivate enemy spectrum power or whatever, go ultimate have 5 sec to run away and wait on cooldowns. You got little window to shoot him after juse jam because lose cloack, if use emp you have 7 sec to click him again before he is gone :)

    Vengence - weak, old, tartarus/pusat grandpa, maybe on Vengeance Lightning make aditional ability to make this ship viable, its decent ship for kill and run only problem is its hard to kill something with him, maybe make ability which will work as smartbomb but only will dmg enemy ship and war ship not clan, company or alliance, to make it different than SMB you can pick mine which you wanna use (damage or shield mine) which will make instant blast and dmg all ships around



    I think every ship must have purpose I think some of them are right now on right spot, some need little change.

    @OP32, as a player of the game yourself, I seriously urge you to consider your priorities. Seriously man, PvP design usage is the last thing you and the team need to be concentrating on at the moment.

    Please do me a favour and get out of bed early (or stay up late like I do lol) and log on to any server at 4am. I guarantee you at least 90% of the ships on the maps aren't players at all, just botters mechanically popping NPCs. It is easy for the human eye to tell one from a human player and I do know that empirical proof has to be obtained for a ban, but I've observed some of these non-players doing this for many months now without any penalty. Try doing an NPC mission yourself and see how difficult it is to find one without it being shot already by a cheat. PLEASE do something about this, it is not fair to legit players like myself making no progress and discourages paying players from investing in their account when they see others gaining advantages illegally and seemingly without paying any consequences.

    Secondly the game needs new players to prosper. The current imbalance between the UFE bullies and new players has still not been addressed. Who will stay and play a game when they have no chance of surviving a PvP fight and die in less than a second? Back in 2009 when I started a noob at least stood a chance to sab and run to port. Maybe make it so that a player's ammo is reduced to x1 if they are a higher level than the victim?

    Both of these issues are killing this game that I love. These absolutely need to be the team's priorities, not nerfing or buffing designs.

I start to play 2011 and yes it was possible to sab and run, now this days you can full fast formation in ring and shoot in slow whatever, if you are attacked first you change in ring than you change on fast confi and run. To make sure u survive you can fly solace or spectrum, this days you can bid them on trade, 2min cd on spectrum and dmg is reduced for 80% you take is more than enough to protect FE player from UFE there is no change he will kill you till portal. When I been FE I never been go in middle of map always been shoot something close to portal or move npc to portal on x-7 map, if you are created and think there are MANY WAYS to survive and play as FE.

    About first topic, bots doing good job by creating legit player movement, before it used to shoot npc always on same range and that was easy to spot, this days sometimes is on top of npc, move it around, go forward and back, movement when shoot is random, how fly around is random, you can't even say its bot if run from you because also as player you see different color or enemy than npc on minimap, if bot got random response time when start to run after see enemy it actually act as human.

    Overall its really hard for DO make script what will say for sure this, this, this is bot lets ban him, they must be 100% sure they will ban just bot users not legit players.
    Let me ask do you want them make bad script which will detect all bot but also some legit players will be caught be script couse isnt done well and if one of them is you, are u ready get ban with bot users ? I don't think you are but that is what can happen if they don't do it 100% perfect, its really hard make to work 100% perfect thats reson why is so delayed and didn't have big ban stage, in past script was work 99% perfect, I know some players who get ban and never even download bot just because wasnt work perfect.

    They can make it on way to enter player PC who they suspect they use bot and see does it run in it but thats against the law so that isn't option.

    Make it work good take time, we must be patient so wrong people don't get punished.

    If we were to rank issues in terms of importance these two would of course be far higher than changing stats to improve PvP, there's no denying that.

    However these tasks require a very significant amount of time and the whole development team, the actual act of changing stats and rebalancing formations / ships can be done by a single person.
    The reason balance changes are going to take quite a while is game designers (who are fairly new to the game) need a full understanding of how PvP works in this game, which whilst that might be super simple to some, there is actually a large degree of skill involved with the "top 1% of PvPers" (especially looking back at older metas).
    Then once they are confident with the knowledge there is a extensive testing period where we plan on using players who have a reputation of being good at PvP to participate in several balance builds before it ever goes live.


    I know it looks very weak at this point saying 'oh we're working on the bot issue, we promise' but truly we are, we won't talk openly about progress until the day the action happens.

    Same goes for the state of progression in the game, the first thing the new game designers did when they joined the team was try and play this game without any perks etc, just like a regular new player would. Needless to say they were of course not too pleased with how it was.
    Action for this will take a while due to the huge overhaul needed to make progression attractive and currently the biggest task related to gameplay being worked on is the server merge and the changes need to make that go as smooth as possible.
