[SC] Question of the Day

Well I have another question well a few questions:

I was out and about hunting aliens on 3-5, and saw another company man. He was higher level than me on this server. I have another ship on another server and I am higher than him. So what happen hasn't happen to me or my other ship. He had a bunch of aliens around him. I thought I would help him. He looked like he activated his Back Up Shield. (I forget I had my Launcher activated) So I picked a target and fired at it. I lock on to one of the Sibelonit that was around him, fired my laser 2x, my single rocket fired, then my rocket launcher fired too, and the next thing I knew most of the aliens were gone. I know there is in the Tech Center (Chain Impulse). I have used it several times too, but it never worked like that for me. Normally it just damages several aliens that are around me, but never had it destroyed them like what I just saw. They just blew up, puff they were gone. I guess there were at least 6 that was destroyed. The rest he picked off and I did too.

What was That? Does anybody have an idea what happen?

My second question:

Again on 3-5 there is an enemy space station in our sector. I'm not powerful enough to knock it out and I have tried too. I just get hurt a lot and almost die. Well my P.E.T. was on auto loot. He got shot up a few times getting close to it picking up bonus boxes 2 time before. Well this time he was too close to it for too long. He died. I healed him and he was at it again. I was attacking an alien and he got close to it again. then something strange happen. I never saw my P.E.T. DO THIS or any P.E.T. do it. It look like my P.E.T. had a Back Up Shield around it, and nothing was getting at from the Base Station. I pulled away from the Base Station and deactivated P.E.T. to make sure it wouldn't get killed. I headed to the Demilitarize Zone to check out my P.E.T. and me (heal).

What Happen to my P.E.T. and where did the shield came from?

I think the player might have "kami'd" the npcs right before you flew to him. I don't have an answer about your second situation.

 

The first one was probably a Kami as stated, and if the PET is being attacked you can not deactivate it, but if you are out of its range (determined by the radars equipped) it can not be attacked, and may be what caused the effect you are describing but you also should not have been able to see it unless you have zoomed way out and everything is very small, I play 67% zoom can't read anything but see want is attacking me.
