[SC] Reason to play?

1)Okay so i have been playing this game for a while and i has a lot of problem which i don't want to elaborate.I know other ways to get entertainment without spending a dime.I am clanless and i don't have any friends in this game so i don't see any point in playing a game that i spend a lot of money and provides me little entertainment.So why should i play?
2)Why do you play?I see so many people complaining with new threads and older ones at "general archive" how this game isn't good e.t.c.So what keeps you coming back to this game?

 

I Love PvP. Yes, this game has so well refined combat mechanics that it's one of the only reasons I'm still playing and enjoying this game. I like the way combat works with all the drone formations and different extras. If I was you, and had fully upgraded account then I would make my own clan and some wars and just have fun! That's what I do with my UFE accounts and it's the reason why I'm still playing.

 

Why are you clanless?

 

I just play bc DO is good to relax, when i whant to rest from the stress of other pvp games or school i just colect some boxes or farm some npcs wich is an activity that does not require much brain power but at the same time kips the brain active.

 

On some of my accounts I am clanless because I play rarely on those servers. Some of my accounts have clans.

 

I play clanless so I do not need to deal with the WARS created by the idiots who go to war just to create chaos in the maps. Wars because of game rule violations are understandable but just to allow people to attack same company players without losing honor is just garbage. Before the UFE outbreak the clans teamed up to force company loyalty or changing to another company, this was back when popping a player to a P'Nut (Phoenix) was common game achievement, now it is popping them to drone loss (assuming they do not pay attention to damage).

 

I play for the sole reason of spending 80k uri on last parts for gates.

Screw everything else.

 

There are many reasons:

• nostalgia of the childhood
• can't give up, the hard work for the account shouldn't be unsuccessful
• can't give up, you have already spend to much money
• you have Premium and boxing bonus and don't want to "waste" it
• (relative) easy game play; boxing, or collecting Palla is relaxing
• you needn't much mechanics (compared to other games), point and click adventure instead of skill shots
• (lags for everyone, a good hardware won't give you enough advantages)
• clear item variety (I still don't care about the new LF4)
• nearly clear, absolute goals (LF4, B02, Iris, Zeus...you only go for damage, shield and speed), roles e.g. tank (Citadel) or vision gainer (Spearhead) can be ignored, because they won't fit in the world of egos
• quests are so bad, that you must choose your own way for climbing (although it isn't an advantage)
• at least for 2D : no sensory overload for the eyes
• one of the "weird" MMO games of Bigpoint
• no kitschy and over-heroic story lines (I hate the fantasy MMO games)
• no promiscuous characters (I don't miss Nyx)

 

Do you mean the overstimulation of 3d because of lights and generally the way it looks?I looked it up but i still feel like i don't understand it.

 

Yes, they use pleasant colors for the 2D mode, which is a bit more relaxing for the eyes. There aren't many special loud color effects.

 

Everyone has their activity that they like. After school and/or work, some head straight to their local night spot. I wake up in the morning and start my transfers. This come before anything I need to do around the house. Then as part of my multi tasking, I start my daily's. Its pretty much been my way of life for the past seven years and I like it. Its calming and peaceful, especially when I close chat, and unlike when going out, you still smell the way you started. On this account, I am in a clan but find I don't really get riddled with wars all the time. The mega wars typically suck you in if you are active in global chat. People are dying for kills and although you may be shot at if you are just running around like normal, its more targeted if you are yapping it up because lets face it, you can't chat and defend yourself at the same time. Another reason I run a clan is so others won't invite me to their clan, but I have found I still get asked to join. In the end, even with the problems in the game, I like spending time working on the basics.

2)What do you mean "suck you in"?Where do they suck you?
3)And the basics are?

 

Find I = my experience
suck you in = get you involved in their banter to your location
basics = building account strength

 

The reasons I still play is because when I was kid I dreamed of being the pilot of my own spaceship
DO is probably the closest I'll get to realizing that dream atm I'm also sticking around to see how it all ends

2D has sharp/straight edges, everything looks how it should be. In 3D everything is so bubbly and so much glowing/effects on everything making it look like a joke.
