[SC] Ridiculous Ranks

I have been playing this game since 2008 and recently returned after a 1 year hiatus. When I left it was before the merge and I was ranked somewhere around #70 on the US1 server. Now I have returned and I am #281 (ok...I get it I took time off) but now I am a Chief major and it says I need another 12,000,000 rank points for the next rank. Really? Since 2008 I have accumulated 7.9 million rank points. What is the point of playing if advancement in rank is so far off the chart?? I realize not everyone plays for rank but without any advancement in ANY game what is the point?

 

Well They introduced the 100 Missions for those folks that finished their Sab Quest from the Pirate Event and people been getting from 1.7 to 2.1 Billion EP from the 1st 9 with full groups and or with Base Boosters.

@nd The have the Black Light Quest in 1-BL/2-BL or 3-BL which pay out way more when people craft the 100% EP and Honor Booster (Last 2 Hours) so thats why the ranks are sky high

 

You took time off, why you even bugging about it? There has been merges in the past year. The game is not going to sit while you take a vacation. Rank does not even give you anything. You get it, you loose it. As Ironthrone stated, there are new missions. You spend time popping thousands of npc for missions, the rp will come.

 

Welcome to 2019 Darkorbit where rank is king now and that's Darkorbit's cash cow. That, and the new "battlepasses" and buy uridium schemes they can concoct to get suckers to buy it.

Chief General on your server, you're looking at 50-70 million rank points maybe even more now but yeah, PVP is broken on this game so now it's just rank, quests and gates.

For a Colonel, the lowest star, you're looking at the 20 millions maybe even dramatically higher depending what company you are in.

And 90% of the people with that rank are all botters, so at this point if you weren't bold enough to chase rank right before the merge when the servers were dead and people were quitting, you're staying where you are unless you get rank in other ways like botting or praying to God someone above you got banned for pushing on a PVP game.

Let me add that the server merge would guarantee rank inflation would happen due to the differences in rank across the merged servers, Darkorbit even admitted it, but alas no one listened and thought the merge was the best thing since sliced bread so they did it anyways and look what happened.
